Yeddyurappa only MP to get ticket according to Shah, says Sriramulu

Ballari Feb 26: Ballari MP B Sriramulu said that BJP national president Amit Shah has said that, barring state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa, tickets for the upcoming polls will not be given to any other BJP MP. He spoke at the Huligemma temple in Koppal taluk on Monday.

Sriramulu said that as per his own statement, Janardhana Reddy will not contest the elections this time. Reddy will canvass for the party. He has identified a house in the border district of Chitradurga at Anegundi, near Gangavati where he will set up base for the campaign.

Anand Singh was well provided for by the BJP. But now he has joined Congress out of arrogance, said the MP.

"Siddaramaiah has become arrogant. He does not see the pain of the Ahinda group. He has spent the money meant for reserved communities for other purposes, " he alleged.

Chitradurga, Apr 11: Akhila Bharata Hindu Mahasabha district president M Kumaraswamy has been arrested by Police on charges of posting provocative posts on Facebook.

Police said on Saturday that Syed Sadath who is the Popular Front of India District Secretary, in Chitradurga filed a complaint stating that Mr Kumaraswamy had posted ''Godhra riots will be repeated by Karsevaks'' on his Facebook page on April 7.

Mr Sadath said that Kumaraswamy was spreading communal hatred and targeting one community, at a time when the world was struggling to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Bengaluru, Mar 21: Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwath Narayan on Saturday said that all the IT companies in the state have agreed to close their offices and have also allowed some employees to work from home in the backdrop of the coronavirus pandemic.

"IT companies agreed to close their offices and allow employees, except for those discharging essential services, to work from home during a video conference with companies' representatives yesterday," said Narayan.

The Deputy Chief Minister said a circular regarding it will be issued soon.

Bengaluru, Apr 7: With reporting of 12 positive cases of COVID-19 since last evening, including three women, the total number of confirmed cases in Karnataka increased to 175, including four deaths.

According to official sources, while three fresh cases of COVID-19 were reported from Bengaluru, two each had been reported from Bagalkot, Kalaburagi and Mandya, followed by one each at Gadag and Bengaluru Rural districts.

After a gap of over three weeks, two more fresh cases had been reported from Kalaburagi, which had reported the first death of the country.
