Youth held for posting objectionable pic of deity on social media  

Bengaluru, Apr 15: Karnataka government will explore Ayurveda for fighting the deadly COVID-19, Ayurveda practitioner Dr Giridhar Kaje said here on Wednesday.

After meeting the Chief Minister, Dr Kaje informed media that on a trial basis, ten Coronavirus patients will be administered Ayurvedic treatment in a designated hospital.

Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has consulted senior doctors on the issue, he said.

Bengaluru, Jun 8: Normal life is slowly returning to normal across Karnataka with the state government further easing the restrictions by throwing open places of worship, hotels, malls for the public.

Despite these places being opened after a gap of more than two months, the places wore a deserted look as the people are and cautious and not ready to take of risk of venturing out amid the ongoing Corona threat.

"Business is not as heavy as expected though it was allowed after a gap of almost three months. Mangaluru, Jul 9: The National Highway 73 between Mangaluru and Chikmagalur was blocked after a huge tree was uprooted and fell on the road near Somanthadka near Belthangady on Thursday due to heavy rain which has been lashing the region since last three days.

The monsoon rain has shifted from the coastal belt to the hilly region of the Western Ghats leading to closure of major roads after a tree was uprooted.

Karkala BJP MLA Sunil Kumar, who was traveling to Bengaluru had to wait for a long time for the traffic to clear.
