Youth slits friend’s throat for not giving Rs 200

Belagavi, Apr 9: A youth allegedly slitthe throat of a friend for not giving him Rs 200. The incident took place at Gangwadi in the city late on Sunday night. Ravi Gadiwaddar, 22, the Injured youth was taken to a private hospital and is said to be out of danger. Both the accused and the injured are from the same area.

Malmaruti police arrested accused Hanamant Gadiwaddar, 24 on Monday and are interrogating him. According to police sources, the incident tookplace when both the friends started quarrelling on paying Rs 200. At that time, an angry Hanamant took a blade and cut Ravi’s throat. Ravi survived as the injury was not very deep.

Kundapur, Apr 13: The city police, burdened with the enforcement of COVID-19 lockdown decided to undertake door delivery of essential items to ensure people remained indoor, official sources said here on Monday.

According to them, the police would be delivering items to the houses in Kumdapur, Byndoor, Gongolli, Shankara Narayana, Kundapur Rural, Kota and Amavasebail.

The police will start spreading awareness with this regard for three days starting from today (April 13).

Bengaluru, Aug 8: Anticipating a huge number of pilgrims from Karnataka to start visiting Ayodhya following the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Ram temple, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa on Friday requested his Uttar Pradesh counterpart Yogi Adityanath for two acres of land to build a 'yatri nivas' (guest house).

"A large number of pilgrims from Karnataka would be visiting Ayodhya. The government of Karnataka wishes to construct a yatri nivas for the pilgrims visiting Ayodhya," Yediyurappa wrote to Yogi.

"I request you to grant two acres of land in Ayodhya for this purpose," he said.

The Chief Minister said the yatri nivas will be constructed for the benefit of pilgrims from the southern state.

He also congratulated the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister for successfully laying the foundation stone for the Ram temple on Wednesday.

Our ruling govt is only interested in RAM Mandir and spending crores of rupees for the temple. Why the other community is not demanding fund from the GOVT?

Not bothered about the development of the country as currently we have no idea how to tackle the corona viurs. Ministers are keen on builing Guest house for pilgrims, Statue of RAM etc etc.

Please concentrate on how to minimise the Virus issue in KARNAKATA like other Gulf countries.

Bengaluru, May 1: Former underworld don and real-estate baron Muthappa Rai was admitted to Manipal hospital in Bengaluru on Thursday.

As per sources, Muttappa Rai’s condition is said to be serious.

Muthappa Rai was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago and had undergone treatment at hospitals in New Delhi, Chennai and Bengaluru.
