Bengaluru, Jul 18: Despite issuing whip by respective parties as many as 15 MLAs, including three JD(S) and 12 Congress, failed to attend the Karnataka Legislative Assembly session on Thursday when Chief Minister moved a motion to seek confidence vote.
According to official sources, all the 15 rebel MLAs did not attended the House despite the Whip issued to them, virtually pushing the coalition government into minority.
Meanwhile, another two Congress MLA, Srimanth Patil and B Nagendra were also not present in the House as they were hospitalised, increasing the worries of the JD(S)-Congress alliance partners who are struggling to save the 14-month-old coalition government in the state.
