Mysuru, Nov 21: The offline ticket booking office of Air India, located at Hotel Mayura, in the city, will be be shut down from December 20.
The move, according to sources, is due to the trend of travellers booking air tickets online, causing a decline in sales at the booking offices.
According to a release by Air India Corporate Communications Assistant General Manager, other avenues have been provided for passengers to book tickets. Passengers can book tickets through other ticketing agents in the city, with the help of 24x7 helpline 1800 180 1407, or through the company website, www.airindia.in.
A mobile app for smartphones using Android platforms has been launched, allowing passengers to book tickets on the go. Passengers can also make bookings through ticketing web portals.
