The actor was the showstopper at a fashion event in Delhi on Sunday where she walked the ramp after a long time.

The 41-year-old actor's last movie outing was Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish in 2010. Aishwarya says she is enjoying being in front of the camera again and looking forward to the release of Jazbaa, which also stars Shabana Azmi, Irrfan, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Jackie Shroff.

"So far the experience has been great. Sanjay has been so nice. The whole cast -- Irrfan, Shabana ji, Chandan, Jaggu Dada (Jackie) -- everyone has been great. I am glad to be working with them. I do not feel like there has been any gap. I am really enjoying," Aishwarya said. The actor also said that she never felt she had left Bollywood ever.

Despite being unwell, the former model looked resplendent in a chocolate brown floor length gown. The show was also attended by her mother-in-law Jaya Bachchan and other B-Town stars like Azmi, Aditi Rao Hydari, Kriti Sanon, among others.

"It is great to be in Delhi and be cheered on by so many industry friends, colleagues and my mother-in-law," she said.

Mumbai, May 10: Nearly a month after recovering from the coronavirus, actor Zoa Morani says she has donated her blood plasma to do her bit in helping the patients currently suffering from the novel virus. The actor, who was quarantined and kept under medication in April, also urged those who have recovered from COVID-19 to donate their plasma.

"Donated my blood today for the Plasma therapy trials at Nair hospital. It was fascinating! Always a silver lining I suppose. The team there was so enthusiastic and careful. There was a general physician on standby just incase of emergency and the equipment brand new and safe (sic)," Zoa wrote on Instagram on Saturday.

She thanked the doctors for taking care of her and hoped patients benefit from the donation.

"All #Covid19 recovered people can be a part of this trial, to help others covid patients recover! I hope this works #IndiaFightsCorona. They even gave me a certificate and Rs 500. Wont lie, I felt super cool today (sic)," she added.

Zoa, along with her sister Shaza and father, producer Karim Morani had tested positive for coronavirus in April. All three were discharged from the hospital after testing negative last month.

Kolhapur, Feb 21: Voicing against Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA), renowned lyrics and thinker Javed Akhtar has said that the act was an assault to secularism and integrity of India and with the ongoing protests, the nation had reached a threshold for an another struggle.

Speaking here on Thursday night at an event organised on the 5th death anniversary of CPI senior leader and progressive leader Com Govind Pansare, Mr Akhtar said the newly amended citizenship act was a plot to split the country.

Mr Javed said that communalism has a deep root in India and it spread after the formation of Hindu Mahasabha and Muslim League in British India. "Muslim league got Pakistan but Hindu Mahasabha is still unsatisfied," he alleged and added that BJP was now 'working as a branch of RSS' and trying to 'split the country' through NRC.

New Delhi, Aug 5: Playback singer S P Balasubrahmanyam on Wednesday confirmed testing positive for COVID-19 with 'mild' symptoms.

The 74-year-old musician shared the information through a video message posted on his official Facebook page.

In the video, the singer detailed about having a little "discomfort" for two days, stating he had chest congestion along with cold and on-off fever, which led him to get tested for the virus.

However, he also mentioned that he could have stayed at home in self-quarantine, as advised, but did not want to put his family in danger, and hence got admitted by his own choice, to recover quickly.

"I am in good hand, I am in good health. Nobody has to worry about this. The fever has subsided, and in two days I'll be discharged and I'll be home. Thanks for the concern," he said in the video message.
