Cannes, May 19: The much-awaited poster of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's comeback film "Jazbaa" was today launched at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival.
The 41-year-old actress along with the film's director Sanjay Gupta unveiled the first poster of the action-thriller, which releases on October 9 this year.
In the first look, Aishwarya looks distressed as she scratches the dust with a cityscape behind her.
Just few minutes after the launch of the poster, social media was abuzz with positive feedbacks calling it "mind blowing", "just the beginning", "can't wait" and "impressive".
An elated Gupta, tweeted, "Thank You... WAY TO GO. JAZBAA trending at number 2."
The former Miss World is returning to the big screen after a gap of five years. She was last seen in Hrithik Roshan starrer drama "Guzaarish".
"Jazbaa" also stars Irffan, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff Atul Kulkarni, Abhimanyu Singh and Chandan Roy Sanyal.

New Delhi, May 20: Singer Justin Bieber on Wednesday thanked his Indian fans for showering love on his newly-launched song 'Stuck With U'.
The 26-year-old singer shared a video on Twitter, that featured many Indian music enthusiasts crooning and making their own individual creative videos with the song playing in the background.
In reaction to it, the 'Yummy' singer tweeted: "Thank You India"
Bieber and American singer Ariana Grande teamed up for the song earlier this month to help the people affected and who are in need during the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
The official music video was dropped on May 8. The romantic track marks the first collaboration of the duo.
The music video has cameos by the singer's partners and features many special moments shared by the couple amid lockdown.

'Truth shall prevail', says Rhea Chakraborty on allegations against her in Sushant case

New Delhi, Jul 31: After an FIR was registered against her in various sections including abetment of suicide in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case, actor Rhea Chakraborty on Friday said that she has faith in the judiciary and she will get justice.
In a video statement issued by her lawyers, the actor refrained from commenting on "horrible things" being said against her saying that the matter is sub judice.
“I have immense faith in God and the judiciary. I believe that I will get justice. Even though horrible things are being said about me in the electronic media. I refrain from commenting on the advice of my lawyers as the matter is sub judice. Satyamev Jayate. The truth shall prevail," Chakraborty said in the video statement.
An FIR was filed by Rajput's father KK Singh against Chakraborty in Bihar under several sections including abetment of suicide.
Days after Rajput's death, Chakraborty said she was the "girlfriend" of the 'Dil Bechara' actor while requesting a CBI inquiry in the case.
Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.
Chakraborty has also approached the Supreme Court for transfer of investigation to Mumbai in the FIR registered against her in Patna.
Earlier in the day, targeting Chakraborty over Rajput's death, Bihar Minister and JD-U leader Maheshwar Hazari said she played the role of "vishkanya" and alleged that there is a "big gang" behind the "killing" of the actor.
"There is a big gang behind the killing of Sushant Singh Rajput. Earlier also talented people who went to Mumbai for work were killed. This gang used Rhea Chakraborty. She trapped Sushant Singh Rajput in a love affair, got his money transferred. Later, she started drama of 'bhoot pret' (ghosts) and played the role of a 'vishkanya'. She sabotaged his talent and defamed love," Hazari said.
According to the Maharashtra police, statements of 41 people, including filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far.
Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had said that Mumbai Police are investigating the case and it will not be transferred to the CBI.

Veteran Bollywood actor-comedian Jagdeep dies at 81

Mumbai, Jul 8: Veteran Actor-comedian Jagdeep, best known for his role as Soorma Bhopali in "Sholay", died on Wednesday at his residence. He was 81.
The actor, whose real name is Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed Jafri, was not keeping well. "He passed away at 8: 30 pm at his residence in Bandra. He was not keeping well due to age related issues," producer Mehmood Ali, a close family friend, told news agency.
Jagdeep appeared in around 400 films but it is his role as Soorma Bhopali in 1975 film "Sholay" that is etched in audiences' minds even today. He also played memorable roles in "Purana Mandir" and in "Andaz Apna Apna" as Salman Khan's father.
Better known by his stage name Jagdeep, the actor also directed the movie "Soorma Bhopali" with his character as the protagonist. He is survived by two sons - Javed and Naved.
