Ali Zafar not being replaced in 'Dear Zindagi', says Alia

Mumbai, Nov 15: Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt today denied reports that Pakistani actor Ali Zafar has been replaced from her upcoming film "Dear Zindagi".

581077Earlier, reports were doing the rounds that 36-year-old Zafar was replaced by Tahir Raj Bhasin in the movie amid row over banning Pakistani artists from working in India

On being asked, the 23-year-old star said, "Nobody is being replaced. The film will release in its full form. There isn't much conversation happening around who's being replaced and who's not. So, we can leave the edge of that topic for sometime since it has died down."

The actress was speaking at the Absolut Elyx Filmfare Glamour and Style cover launch.

The "Udta Punjab" star said her character in "Dear Zindagi" is the closest to her.

"'Dear Zindagi' is closest to my life. I am not saying I am exactly that character but I relate to it the most. Getting pissed off with relationships, there is a dialogue in teaser 3, where I say 'I hate couples'. That happens," Alia said.

"Not only me, but everyone will be able to see a shade of themselves in my character," she said.

The actress "hopes" that the recent demonetisation move of the government will not affect her film.

Directed by Gauri Shinde of "English Vinglish"-fame, "Dear Zindagi", which also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Angad Bedi, Kunal Kapoor, is scheduled to release on November 25.

Mumbai, Apr 29: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is not keeping well and has been admitted to a city hospital here, his elder brother Randhir Kapoor said.

The 67-year-old actor was taken to H N Reliance hospital by his family on Wednesday morning.

"He is in the hospital. He is suffering from cancer and he has some breathing problem, so he has been admitted to the hospital. He is stable now," Randhir told PTI.

The actor returned to India last September after undergoing treatment for cancer in the US for almost a year.

In February, Kapoor was hospitalised twice due to his health issues.

He was first admitted to a hospital in Delhi where he was attending a family function. At the time, Kapoor had said that he was suffering from an "infection".

After his return to Mumbai, he was again admitted to a hospital with viral fever. He was discharged soon after.

Kapoor, who has been quite active on social media, hasn't posted anything on his Twitter account since April 2.

The actor recently announced his next project, a remake of Hollywood film "The Intern", also featuring Deepika Padukone.

Mumbai, Mar 7: A 'farm-to-fork' themed restaurant 'He-Man' situated on National Highway in Haryana's Karnal -- franchised by veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra -- has been sealed for building law violations, officials said on Saturday.

The Karnal Municipal Corporation sealed the franchise outlet on Friday for not furnishing the change of land use (CLU) certificate and illegal constructions, an official said.

The restaurant is located on National Highway 44 on the outskirts of Karnal, some 150 km from here.

The franchise was given to Delhi-based businessman Pramod Kumar.

"After the success of my restaurant Garam Dharam Dhaba, I am now announcing a farm-to- fork themed restaurant 'He-Man'," Dharmendra had announced on Instagram after its launch on Valentine's Day.

Karnal Deputy Commissioner Nishant Yadav said the action was initiated as the restaurant owner did not respond to MC notice on the issue.

Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 15: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has condoled the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and recalled his support to the state during the floods in 2018.

The 34-year old Bollywood actor was found hanging at his apartment in Mumbai on Sunday.

"We are deeply saddened to hear of the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. His early demise is a great loss to the Indian Film industry. Our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and supporters," Vijayan said in a tweet.

"We take a moment to remember his support during the time of Kerala floods

During the deluge in August, 2018, a fan had tagged him in a comment on his Instagram post and said, he don't have the money, but wanted to donate some food.

The actor, who spotted the comment, replied that he will donate Rs one crore in his fan's name.

Rajput donated Rs one crore to CMDRF in the name of his fan and uploaded the screenshot saying, My Kerala.
