Ambareesh death: Mysuru, Bengaluru palaces bandh on Nov 26

Mysuru, Nov 25: Palaces in Mysuru and Bengaluru will remain closed for public today and tomorrow as a mark of respect to film actor turned politician M H Ambareesh who was close friend of Mysuru Royal family.

Mysuru royal family expressed deep condolence to actor- politician Ambareesh death in Bengaluru last night.

In a message Ms Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, wife of scion Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar, said Ambareesh was a good friend of royal family and deeply hurt on learning about his demise.

She said Ambareesh used to meet my husband when the later was a Lok Sabha member and suggest him to become more tough as a politician.

"He was regularly visiting on Viyadashmi day and was eager to see Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar in Maharaja attire holding the Sword 'Pattada Kathi'.

United Marine Products, Karnataka and Goa has been awarded the MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) best exporter award for outstanding export performance of 2017-18 and second best exporter of 2018-19 from the govt of India under the category   "Fishmeal, Fish oil and Allied products." held at Grand Hyatt, LuLu convention center, Kochi.
 
The award was conferred in the presence of Central Minister for state, commerce and Industry Mr Som Parkash and Honourable minister for fisheries, govt of Kerala Mercy kutty Amma. Mr Muhammad Sameer, Managing Partner, received the award.

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.

The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.

More details in this regard are awaited.
