Waheeda_RehmanMumbai, Mar 8: Bollywood megastar revealed his secret desire of being in love with Waheeda Rehman

Amitabh said if he got a chance to woo someone than it would be the "epitome of Indian beauty" Waheeda Rehman and would do anything to catch her attention even with a poem.

Amitabh Bachchan got married with actress Jaya Bhaduri way back in 1973 but when asked about one actress that he would have loved to court, he took the ethereal Waheeda Rehman's name despite the fact that she is six years his senior.

"It's too late in the day to do that now," laughed the 71-year-old thespian, adding that he admires her immensely for her grace and poise.

"She's been one of my favourite actors along with Dilip Kumar saab. She is the epitome of an Indian beauty, of simplicity... so genuine, soft and beautiful. If I had to woo her, perhaps I would recite a poem," he added.

Right then, the versatile star changed the mood of the gathering by reciting his famous couplet "Main aur meri tanhai aksar ye baatein kiya karte hain."

On being asked if there were challenges Amitabh went through at the time of marrying a popular star Jaya of that time, and then later becoming a star himself, with Jaya relegating her career for her family.

"Every marriage is a challenge, and mine wasn't different. One think I find very admirable about Jaya is that she chose to give preference to home and not films. There was no obstacle from me ever, it was her decision," BIg B said.

Los Angeles, Jan 27: Pop-rock innovator Billie Eilish on Sunday bested a packed field to win the Grammy for Song of the Year -- which honors songwriters -- for her hit "Bad Guy."

The 18-year-old beat veteran acts Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey along with newcomers Lewis Capaldi and Lizzo to take home the coveted honor.

She shares the prize with her older brother Finneas O'Connell, her primary creative collaborator.

The pair were gracious onstage, with Eilish telling her fellow nominees: "I grew up watching all of you."

"We just make music in a bedroom together," said O'Connell. "We still do that and they let us do that. (...) This is to all of the kids making music in your bedrooms today -- you're going to get one of these."

Eilish was among this year's most nominated artists with six nods, and is the youngest person ever nominated in all four of the top categories.

Best song was her second award of the night. She won earlier for best pop vocal album for "when we all fall asleep, where do we go?"

Before she released the album in March 2019, Eilish had already assembled a fervent online following for her bold, often haunting pop sound.

In August, Eilish became the first musician born in the 2000s to top the Billboard Hot 100, when she dethroned Lil Nas X, who spent a record-breaking 19 weeks at the top with viral hit "Old Town Road."

The artist named Billboard's 2019 Woman of the Year has also written and will perform the theme song for the upcoming James Bond film "No Time To Die."

"I feel like I'm not supposed to be here," she told E! television on the red carpet before the gala. "Life is weird."

Mumbai, Jul 25: Movie theatres have been shuttered for months due to the coronavirus pandemic in the country, but the Information and Broadcasting Ministry has now recommended that the Union Home Ministry allow cinema halls to reopen in August.

I&B Secretary Amit Khare indicated this at a close-door industry interaction with the CII Media Committee on Friday. He said Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla at the Home Ministry would take the final call.

Khare said that he has recommended that cinema halls may be allowed to reopen all over India as early as August 1, or at the latest, around August 31.

The formula suggested is that alternate seats in the first row and then the next row be kept vacant, and proceeding in this fashion throughout.

Khare said that his ministry's recommendation takes into consideration the two metre social distancing norm, but tweaks it gently to two yards instead. The Home Ministry, however, still has to revert on the recommendation.

Cinema owners, present in the interaction, however, pushed back and said this formula is unwise and merely running films at 25% auditorium capacity is worse than keeping the cinemas shut.

The attendees at the meet included media CEOs like N.P. Singh of Sony, Sam Balsara (Madison), Megha Tata, (Discovery), Gaurav Gandhi (Amazon Prime), Manish Maheshwari (Twitter), S. Sivakumar (Bennett Coleman and Co Ltd), and K Madhavan, Star & Disney, and also Chairman, CII Media Committee.

The OTT platforms present, including Gandhi of Amazon Prime, did not push back. Some Bollywood producers, notably those of Amitabh Bachchan's Gulabo Sitabo, have posted their movies on OTT, rather than live out the lockdown uncertainty.
