Ashish Chowdhry emerges as the 'clear' winner of Khatron Ke Khiladi

New Delhi, Apr 13: Film actor Ashish Chowdhry has emerged as the winner of the stunt-based reality TV show Khatron Ke Khiladi - Darr Ka Blockbuster Returns. The show tests the physical and mental strength of 14 celebrities over a 10-week long journey across scenic locations of Cape Town in South Africa. He says his twin daughters turned out to be lucky for his "clean win".

Khatron Ke KhiladiThe 36-year-old decided to go on the adventurous journey at a time when his twin daughters - Salara and Sammah - were just 15 days old.

"I've always loved having children. I think the girls have been lucky for me as I left them when they were 15 days old and I think it was their luck which worked as a magic for me," Ashish, who takes care of five children said.

He has a son named Agasthya, and along with his wife, Ashish also looks after his deceased sister's children Kanishk and Ananya.

The Dhamaal actor says "fatherhood always makes you more responsible".

"I'm happy that I settled down young and then I became a young father. I enjoy the fact that it makes me a more responsible and hardworking human being because when you are single you can always takes on things easy. It can only do you good when you have a family like mine," he added.

As for is reward in the adventure reality show, Ashish walked away with a Khatron Ke Khiladi trophy, a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh and a Mahindra Scorpio car.

He was competing against actors Iqbal Khan and Sagarika Ghatge and multi-faceted Meiyang Chang in the finale. But the fact that he never got into an elimination stunt, made Ashish stand out as a "clear" winner.

"I was the first contestant ever to have not gone into an elimination stunt throughout. So, I was lucky there and almost everybody was astonished by this fact. This makes it a clean win for me," he said.

Ashish looks back at the show as a fruitful learning experience.

"You really have to prepare yourself mentally to stand in a show like this because they make you go through many medical tests before you sign it. It's special for someone like me as I've faced big problems in my life, but still I found out the way to enjoy it, so my dream is fulfilled with Khatron Ke Khiladi," said the actor, who once faced a financial crisis.

He says that while "it's great that I won it", he never intended to win it. "I was only trying to enjoy performing all the stunts and making the most from my time over there. I had the best experience of my life in Khatron Ke Khiladi," he added.

Hosted by filmmaker Rohit Shetty, the show saw celebrity participants including actors Hussain Kuwajerwala, Harshad Arora, Sana Khan, Rasami Desai, Asha Negi, Ridhi Dogra and Nandish Sandhu, Meiyang Chang, Kabaddi star Rakesh Kumar, reality show star Siddharth Bharadwaj, dancer Salman Yusuff Khan and item girl Nathalia Kaur.

The grand finale of the Colors' show began with a touch of Rohit Shetty's style, where the four finalists were asked to blast a car in a stunt named after the Chennai Express director.

Ashish and Chang were announced as the winners of the first stunt and went on to compete in the final stunt, titled The Final Blast, where Ashish was declared as the winner.

The entertainment quotient in finale episode was added by some power-packed performances by all the contestants on various Bollywood tracks; and some humour was injected by comedian Bharti Singh.

New Delhi, Apr 2: After donating to UNICEF to combat COVID-19, actor Kareena Kapoor Khan on Thursday announced that she will also contribute to PM-CARES Fund and Maharashtra's CM Relief Fund along with her husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur Ali Khan.

Kareena made the announcement through an Instagram post and also urged others to do their bit by doing whatever is possible.

"We extend our support to the PM CARES Fund and the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (Maharashtra)," read an official statement post by Kareena on Instagram.

"In times like these, every helping hand and every rupee raised matters. Do Help wherever possible," the statement further read.

However, the amount of donation hasn't been revealed in the post.

The star couple has joined a list of celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal and others who too have extended support to PM CARES Fund to fight against coronavirus.

Earlier on March 31, the 'Jab We Met' actor had announced their contribution to UNICEF, GIVE INDIA and the International Association of Human Values (IAHV).

There are 1764 active coronavirus cases in the country, while 150 people have been cured and 50 have died, as per the Union Health Ministry.

New Delhi, April 6: Acknowledging on being scared and talking of not seeing his family for three weeks, actor Salman Khan along with nephew Nirvaan on Sunday shared their lockdown experience in a video message.

The 54-year-old star, without disclosing where the actor actually is, shared a video message on Twitter along with his brother Sohail Khan's son, Nirvaan.

Salman began the one-minute and 26-seconds long video, by saying: "We came here for a few days and now we're stuck and scared"

The 'Bharat' actor then introduced Nirvaan and asked him "How long has it been since you saw your father?", to which Nirvaan replied, "It must have been three weeks."

"I have not seen my father for three weeks. We are here and he is alone at home," Salman added.

The 'Sultan' actor then asks the boy: "You remember the film dialogue, 'the one who got scared, died.' It does not apply here in this situation. We are scared and bravely we admit that we are scared. Please don't be brave in this situation."

Nirvaan also further requested everybody to stay safe and maintain social-distance.

"I think it's better for everyone to stay home, avoid contact and I think the longer we stay indoors the faster this ends," he added.

The 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star concluded the video by saying: "The one who got afraid saved himself and lives of others around him. Moral of the story, 'We're all scared'."

Urging people to take the government's advisory of self-isolation seriously amid the rising cases of coronavirus in the country, the megastar had earlier shared a video message for fans.

Mumbai, Jun 19: The Mumbai Police, probing the   case of alleged suicide of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has sent a letter to Yash Raj Films, seeking details of the contracts it had signed with him, an official said on Friday.

Rajput, 34, known for films like Kai Po Che!, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Chhichhore, was found hanging in his Bandra apartment on Sunday, sending shockwaves in the film industry and elsewhere.

"Police are investigating various angles, including that of professional rivalry, in the case," the official said. So far, Bandra police have recorded the statements of over 13 people, including Rajput's family members and close friends like actor Rhea Chakraborty and casting director Mukesh Chhabra.

 "Keeping in view the professional angle, police have started calling some prominent production houses for inquiry. As part of that, police on Thursday sent a letter to Yash Raj Films, seeking details of all the contracts it had signed with the deceased actor," a senior police officer said.

"We have also asked for the copies of the contracts that Yash Raj Films had signed with the actor," he added.

In the next few days, police may also call those people, who had played a role in signing of contracts between the actor and the production houses for their projects, the officer said.

 Rajput had worked in two Yash Raj Films movies - Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) directed by Maneesh Sharma and in director Dibakar Banerjee directed Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015).

His third film with the banner was supposed to be Paani, directed by Shekhar Kapur. However, YRF had reportedly backed out of the project later.
