Bahrain Billawas to host Radhakrishna contest

Manama: Guru Seva Samiti - Bahrain Billawas, a social cultural Billawa community organization which is celebrating 15th anniversary will be hosting Radhakrishna Contest on account of Shree Krishna Janmashthami. Event will be open to all the Community Members of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District living in Kingdom of Bahrain.

Malabar Gold and Diamonds will be the title sponsorfor the mega event.

The event will be held in two parts. First on the Facebook Page of Bahrain Billawas and second part will be a live stage event which will be held at The Indian Club, Kingdom of Bahrain on Aug 11, 2017.

This is the first time that such an event is going to be held in the kingdom.

Ajith Bangera, President of Bahrain Billawasduring the press release informed that Well known Tulu Movie star, PruthviV Ambar will be the chief guest for the event.

Prime attraction of the event will be dance performances by Pruthvi V Amber and members of various socio-cultural clubs in the Kingdom.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Doha: Selvam aged 46 son of Subramanian hailing from Panakulam Village, Alangudi, Pudukkottai District in Tamilnadu province who worked as a technician, died in Qatar on April 24.

Due to challenging situation prevailing in both India & Qatar for body repatriation services, especially in Covid-19 atmosphere, Family is unable to progress further for past 2 months. At his stage Family of the deceased met Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI), Pudukkottai office bearers and requested to intervene and help out, and also agreed to bury the body in Qatar itself.

Hence, SDPI delegates communicated with well-known Indian Expatriate welfare Organization - Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF). QISF General Secretary Basheer Ahamed, Secretary Abdullatheef Madikeri and team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation within a short period of time and arranged for a peaceful burial of Mr. Selvam in Dukhan cemetery.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
