Bajrang Dal activist thrashed by public for harassing woman

Mangaluru, Jan 19: A man was thrashed by the general public for allegedly eve-teasing and harassing women at Bellare village in Sullia taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

The accused has been identified as Santosh Shetty Madavu, a local resident. Interestingly, he is said to be a member of Bajrang Dal, an organisation which is known for attacking non-Hindu men for being friendly with Hindu girls.

According to locals, Shetty used to follow women and pester them to provide their mobile numbers. He is also accused of trying to molest a college students.

Frustrated over his behaviour, residents of Bellare on Thursday thrashed him in public while a couple of onlookers videographed the entire episode on their mobile phones. A video clip in which Shetty is begging the local residents not to punish him is going viral on WhatsApp.

Shetty was then handed over to the Bellare police, who reportedly let him off with a warning.

The public should be united and treat such criminals.
Our Police and Justice system can not hand effectively because of loop holes in our Judicial system. we don't blame the officers, the law is very weak.

Whoever does such act specially molester of girls, should be punished regardless his religious background.

If the people work together unitedly, then can control without the help of police or court. The police can relax!!!!!

Mangaluru, Mar14 (UNI) In view of prevailing Global situation, Coast Guard Karnataka took initiatives for creating awareness among the CG Personnel, Civilian Staff and Families on precautions so that the contagious Coronavirus be prevented.

For the benefit of CG personnel posters have been displayed at entrance and prominent places in office premises and residential areas including the CG KG School.

All CG Personnel and their families were advised to frequently wash their hands with sanitiser or soap and water at regular intervals. They are also requested to cover their nose and mouth with handkerchief or tissue while coughing or sneezing. It is advised to consult doctor if there is fever, difficulty in breathing, coughing, all being symptoms of Corona Virus.

Udupi, Jun 16: A young software engineer died on board a bus bound for Udupi’s Kundapura from Bengaluru due to suspected cardiac arrest this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Chaitanya (25), son of Vishnu Murthy, a resident of Kumbri in Koteshwar in Kundapura taluk. He was working for a software firm Bengaluru.

Chaitanya had boarded a ‘Durgamba’ bus from Bengaluru at 9 pm on June 15. At around 6.30 am on June 16, he called his father and informed that the bus had reached Barkur.

When his father called Chaitanya again at around 7.30 am, the bus driver answered the call and told him that his son had fallen ill and been taken to Vinaya hospital in Kundapur.

Vishnu Murthy rushed to the hospital, but was informed by the doctors that Chaitanya was declared brought dead.

A case has been registered at Kundapura police station. Even though it is suspected that he died of cardiac arrest, the exact cause will be known only after the post-mortem.

Bengaluru, Jul 18: Veteran actor Hulivana Gangadharaiah has passed away due to novel Coronavirus at the age of 70 on Friday night at a private hospital. He has acted in films, plays and serials as well.

He was acting in the romantic serial Premaloka which has Vijay Suriya and Ankitha Navya Gowda in lead roles.

According to reports, after he showed the symptoms of having Coronavirus, he got self-isolated at his farm house. When his health condition deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital. Gangadhariah has acted in over 100 films, 150 plays and many serials lived his life in a simple way.

Condoling the death of Gangadharaiah, T N Seetharam on his Facebook page posted, “The death of a friend and a wonderful actor Hulivana Gangandharaiah is painful. In Aaspota play, the role of a driver he played brought immense popularity ro the play. When George Fernandes watched the play he appreciated his character. In the serial Muktha Muktha, he played the role of a politician Rajanandaswamy with ease which was aired for over three years brought us closer. In the modern theatre, Nagesh whom I consider as Guru used to cast Gangadharaiah in each play he directed which reflected the kind of faith he had in him. After a few years, he got involved in agriculture so I did not had much contact with him. It’s been nearly eight years I last met him. It is very sad that we have lost him.”

Lead actor of the serial Premaloka, Vijay Suriya has also mourned the death of Hulivana Gangadharaiah who was seen in a pivotal role in the serial.
