BCF Felicitating Syed Beary

Dubai, May 23: Bearys Cultural Forum, Dubai, felicitated Syed Mohammed Beary, Chairman & Managing Director, Bearys Group and Chairman – IGBC, Bangalore Chapter & Chairman, Bearys Group of Institutions, during his Dubai visit recently.

Mr. Beary was received by the office bearers of BCF –including BCF Gen. Secretory Dr.Kaup Mohammed and the Vice Presidents Mr.M.E.Moolur, Mr.Latif Mulky, Mr.Ameeruddin.

Under his stewardship, Mr. Syed Mohammed Beary, who founded & spearheaded the Bearys Group to span the entire gamut of the real estate sector, ‘Bearys’ has risen to be a most trusted name and is today widely acclaimed as an ‘Environment Conscious Developer’.

He found many educational institutions from primary to collegiate levels and professional colleges in his native Kodi, Kundapur and Mangalore including an engineering college, Bearys Institute of Technology (BIT), Mangalore.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.
