Be united for the integrity of India: Welfare Kerala Kuwait

Kuwait: As India is going to polls which is treated as world’s biggest democratic exercise with more than 900 million people eligible to cast their vote to elect its new government, election fever is gripping the Indian expat community in Kuwait as well and it’s no surprise that Indians especially Keralites have made their presence felt in Kuwait during the crucial election season in India.  In this contest a debate was jointly organized by the district committees of Welfare Kerala Kuwait from Kozhikode, Wayanad and Malappuram Districts at Ideal auditorium Farwaniya, where members of different socio-cultural organizations have contested and have ramped up their voices to ensure their thoughts are heard far and wide.

During the debate participants urged the secular democratic parties of India to be united to remove the Fascist forces from power and to restore the unity and integrity of our republic at any cost.  The speakers also reiterated that the various parties should keep their pity differences away for the sake of our great nation during this most crucial election in the history of Independent India, as the very future of the secular democratic fabric of our republic is at stake.

Heated debate happened when the members of Left Democratic Front (LDF) and United Democratic Front (UDF) tried to defend their achievements and the importance of their presence in the national level.  Member representing Welfare Kerala Kuwait stressed in his speech the importance of unity and urged others to refrain from squabbling each other as this is not the time for disarray but to enjoin hands together in the fight against Sangh Parivar led fascist regime and to remove them from power as Narendra Modi-led government has mounted an "unprecedented assault" on all constitutional authorities and institutions during the last five years.

The meeting was inaugurated by Welfare Kerala Kuwait central committee President Razeena Mohiudheen, Malappuram District committee president Rafeeq Babu presented the topic, Kozhikode District committee president Layik Ahmed presided over the function. The debate was moderated and concluded by Faizal Manjeri and representing various organizations Krishnan Kadalundi (INC) Rajive John (CPI), Farouq Hamadani (IUML), Sathar Kunnil (INL) and Shoukath Valanchery (WKK) expressed their views.  The program was blessed with the presence of WKK leaders Anwar shaji, Girish Wayanad (GS) and Vice president Khaleelurahman. Earlier Kozhikode District committee Secretary Poly Jose welcomed the gathering and Wayanad district committee president Smitha Surendran proposed the vote of thanks.

Riyadh, Feb 24: Indian Islahi Center, Riyadh (IICR) kicked off the propagation campaign of "Learn the Quran" national conference, which is slated to be held on March 27, 2020 at Nofa Istiraha, Exit 18, Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. It's IICR's 20th successful program.

Kerala Legislative Assembly's opposition leader & Congress leader, Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurated the campaign that was held at Voco Hotel in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ramesh was on two days visit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The objective of the campaign is to instil the keenness & to keep creating the continuous awareness amongst the community on Quran. It also enables to recite the Quran with Tajweed (science of reading the Quran) & correct form.

Aboobakker Edthanatukkara (President of IICR), Abdul Qayyum Bustani, Kunhi Kumbala, Abdullah Vallanchira, Adv. Abdul Jaleel, Naushad Ali Kozhikode, Mujeeb Ali Thodigappulam, Muhammad Kutty Kadannamanna, Fasal Rahman City Flower, Mujeeb Irumbuzhi, Jaleel Alappuzha, Arafat & others were present on the occasion.

Markaz Al Madeena Association, Eastern province, conducted JALS-E-UCHILA get together program at Dammam, Saudi Arabia on March 5,2020 on account of celebrating 28 years of social service dedicated by the organization.

The event chairman Noushad Uchil inaugurated the function. The organization president presided the program and delivered talk about the intention of the organization. Hashim Uchil has intorduced the social and academic contribution of the organization of past 28 years. Jamal Uchil welcomed the gathering and Ismail G.I. host the program.

Games, Quiz and prize distribution to the winners and senior social workers was the special attraction of the event. The planning committee of the event includes Iqbal, Farooq, Shahul Hameed, Ramza, Nabeel, Afthar, Ashraf and Shafi.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
