Bhaskar Shetty murder case: Sonia Narang visits Udupi

Udupi, Aug 23: Sources in the Police Department said here on Monday that Sonia Narang, DIG, CID, had arrived here in connection with the investigation in the Bhaskar Shetty murder case.

Bhaskar Shetty, a businessman, went missing from his house here on July 28 and his mother Gulabi Shetty lodged a missing complaint at the Manipal police station on July 29.

The police arrested his wife Rajeshwari (46) and son Navneet (24) on the charge of murdering Shetty and destroying evidence, here on August 7.

They arrested Niranjan Bhat (25), an archak, on August 8 for allegedly helping in disposing of Bhaskar Shetty’s body.

Bengaluru, Apr 6: Popular Kannada comedy actor Prakash, popularly known as Bullet Prakash in the film industry, died due to multi-organ failure at a private hospital in the City on Monday.

He was 44.

He is survived by wife, one son and a daughter.

United Marine Products, Karnataka and Goa has been awarded the MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) best exporter award for outstanding export performance of 2017-18 and second best exporter of 2018-19 from the govt of India under the category   "Fishmeal, Fish oil and Allied products." held at Grand Hyatt, LuLu convention center, Kochi.
 
The award was conferred in the presence of Central Minister for state, commerce and Industry Mr Som Parkash and Honourable minister for fisheries, govt of Kerala Mercy kutty Amma. Mr Muhammad Sameer, Managing Partner, received the award.

Tumakuru, Jun 20: An SSLC student of Siddaganga Mutt here was admitted to the isolation ward of the district hospital on Saturday after he showed Covid-19 symptoms.

Health officials said that the student, a native of the Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, had returned to the Mutt via Raichur on June 15 for writing the SSLC examination scheduled to begin on June 25.

After he was admitted to the hospital the Health Department Officials kept three of his roommates under quarantine. Throat swab sample of the student has also been sent for testing.
