Bloom-2017: Students Fraternity Forum hosts a colourful event in Dammam

Dammam: The Students Fraternity Forum, Eastern Province, organised ‘Bloom-2017’, a special event for the children of Indian expatriates studying from Class 1 to 8 recently in Dammam to mark Children’s Day. 

Children Participated in various competitions in the event. Four teams, namely Team Inspire, Vision, Genius and Dynamic were formed for class 5 to 8 students. Five competitions followed by the main event of the day Quiz were conducted for these teams. Students performed well based on their general knowledge and academic knowledge in all the competitions. 

Events like drama based on the theme ‘Student, Parents and School’ was played on the stage. In a parallel session goal setting class for students and parenting class for parents were given by resource persons. As a part of conclusion, stage program was held. Master of Ceremony Azhar welcomed the guests, Muhammad Arif, President of Indian Social Forum Karnataka Chapter, Mohammed Sajid, State Gen Secretary Indian Fraternity Forum Karnataka, Muhammed Irshad, Students Fraternity Forum Karnataka State Coordinator and Muhammed Hashir, Students Fraternity Forum Karnaka State In-charge.

Muhammad Sajid presided over the program. Muhammad Irshad gave a brief introduction on SFF objectives which included developing the students academically, socially and culturally. He requested parents to make their children join SFF and join hands with the organization to make its goal successful.

Prizes were distributed to winners. Team Genius emerged the winner while Team Inspire became Runners-up in the competition. Memento was given to all the children whoever participated in the program. Muhammad Azhar ended the program with a vote of thanks.

Masha Allha Realy a wonderful Bloom conducted by SFF Eastern Province.  Nice gathering and good arrangement by SFF. Hope parants also enjoyed lot, Insha allha we will conduct Twice in a year like this progrem for childerns, thanks for CD for publish this news.

Kuwait: Eid is usually a time of family get-togethers and feasts after weeks of dawn-to-dusk fasting. But this year people celebrated at home, with virus fears dampening the holiday spirit and strict restrictions in place.

Kuwait went under full curfew before the start of Ramadan leaving people to practice fasting and Ramadan rituals at home, Even Eid al-Fitr came under full lock-down period.

As situation demanded, IMA Kuwait celebrated the Eid Get-together online via video conferencing tool, All IMA members participated joyfully in Eid Milan online gathering which was scheduled immediately after Eid prayer. Members participated and congratulated each other on the eve of Eid.

The IMA president Shamvel Parviz addressed the gathering and thanked them for joining online for this unique Eid celebration which will be remembered in history. He also advised members to be aware of conditions of neighbors, friends and family and assist them if they need help in this difficult time.

Eid al-Fitr follows weeks of fasting and marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Thousands of Muslims all over Kuwait followed strict guideline and performed Eid prayer at home along with their family.

As a part of social service activities IMA also distributed ration kits before start of Ramadan and during Ramadan for needy people all over Kuwait.

Riyadh, Feb 24: Indian Islahi Center, Riyadh (IICR) kicked off the propagation campaign of "Learn the Quran" national conference, which is slated to be held on March 27, 2020 at Nofa Istiraha, Exit 18, Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. It's IICR's 20th successful program.

Kerala Legislative Assembly's opposition leader & Congress leader, Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurated the campaign that was held at Voco Hotel in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ramesh was on two days visit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The objective of the campaign is to instil the keenness & to keep creating the continuous awareness amongst the community on Quran. It also enables to recite the Quran with Tajweed (science of reading the Quran) & correct form.

Aboobakker Edthanatukkara (President of IICR), Abdul Qayyum Bustani, Kunhi Kumbala, Abdullah Vallanchira, Adv. Abdul Jaleel, Naushad Ali Kozhikode, Mujeeb Ali Thodigappulam, Muhammad Kutty Kadannamanna, Fasal Rahman City Flower, Mujeeb Irumbuzhi, Jaleel Alappuzha, Arafat & others were present on the occasion.

The Overseas Indian Cultural Congress (OICC), Bahrain, has charted aircrafts to repatriate stranded expatriates to India. 

Boby Parayil, General Secretary, OICC National Committee, Bahrain has thanked all those who supported in this cause.

“The aircrafts were not licensed and were in crisis until the last minute. Finally, Mohammed Mansoor, president of Bahrain chapter of Indian Overseas Congress approached IOC Middle East in charge Dr Arathi Krishna, who helped get permission to operate flight to Kozhikode,” he said in a release. 

All mandatory approvals from the Foreign Ministry of Affairs and other government officials were accomplished by Dr Arathi Krishna. OICC has expressed gratitude to her for her timely support, he said. 

OICC is also grateful to former Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy for doing necessary arrangements to get all the approvals for flight landing in Kerala, he added.
