Body of youth brought home from Saudi after 3 months; death mystery unsolved

Mysuru, Jun 16: The body of a youth from the city, who died in Saudi Arabia nearly three months ago, was handed over to his family members after it arrived here on Thursday.dbody

Shabir had gone in search of a lucrative job but died under mysterious circumstances in Saudi Arabia where he was working.

He is the son of Wazir Saab and Dilshad of Vidyaranyapuram. The family has been struggling for nearly three months to bring back the body of their son, who allegedly committed suicide on March 25.

But the family members had suspected foul play in his sudden death. They had sought the assistance of local authorities, including Pratap Simha, Mysuru MP, and based on their appeals the Indian embassy ensured that the body was sent to India.

The body arrived at Bengaluru international airport on Thursday morning and reached Mysuru around 3 p.m. The last rites were held late in the evening.

Kasaragod, Jan 3: A serving officer of the Central Intelligence Bureau (CIB) was found dead inside his car in Bekal town near here early on Friday.

Police sources said the officer, Rijo Francis (35) has been under treatment after he had an heart attack last year.

Police suspect that the death could be due to heart failure.

Shivamogga, Mar 8: In a tragic incident, three people died on the spot and one person severely injured after a car, in which they were travelling dashed against a wayside tree in Kaspadi village in Sagar Taluk on Sunday.

Police said that the deceased have been identified as Siddappa (40), Venkatesha (50), G Tippanna (60), while injured Nagaraj, was admitted to Hospital at Sagar.

The mishap took place when the victims were their way to visit Kargal Village from Raichur.

Mangaluru, Jan 17: A poultry truck transporting chickens overturned on Friday at Perne village near Uppinangady on Mangaluru-Bengaluru National Highway, killing 200 of them.

Police said that the truck was headed towards Mangaluru from Uppinangady when the truck driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to topple. As many as 200 chickens were killed in the mishap.

Another vehicle was later used to transport the remaining chickens.
