Crescent English Medium High School celebrates annual day

Mangalore, Jan 11: Crescent English Medium High School under the aegis of Crescent Welfare Centre conducted its annual day recently in the city.

President of Crescent Welfare B Ahmed Haji Muhyuddin presided over the function. City Mayor Gulzar Banu, Retired government officer J R Lobo were the chief guests. Entrepreneur A Sadananda Shetty launched the school website on the occasion.

General Secretary of the Crescent Welfare Centre M Shareef, Members Zameer Amber, K Abdurrasheed, V Ibraheem, B Abobaker, M Haris, Saduddeen Swalih and Parents-Teachers’ Association President D M Aslam were present.

Muhammad Thansheef and Yaseera Fathima, who bagged highest scores in SSLC examinations, were felicitated along with other old students of the school.

Headmistress Shailaja M read out the annual report. Teacher Montena Fernandes welcomed the gathering while Varijakshi N proposed vote of thanks.

United Marine Products, Karnataka and Goa has been awarded the MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) best exporter award for outstanding export performance of 2017-18 and second best exporter of 2018-19 from the govt of India under the category   "Fishmeal, Fish oil and Allied products." held at Grand Hyatt, LuLu convention center, Kochi.
 
The award was conferred in the presence of Central Minister for state, commerce and Industry Mr Som Parkash and Honourable minister for fisheries, govt of Kerala Mercy kutty Amma. Mr Muhammad Sameer, Managing Partner, received the award.

Madikeri, Jul 24: Water from river Cauvery, which is deemed as holy, and mud from Kodagu, the birth district of river Cauvery was collected and will be sent to Ayodhya for use during groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pooja) ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir on August 5.

Workers of Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Hindu Jagarana Vedike collected the soil and water from River Cauvery at Talacauvery Kshetra, the birthplace of river Cauvery.

Special pooja was offered at Talacauvery, praying for the timely completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Puttur, May 9: City based Team B-Human today distributed Ramadan kits among 70 families in Koodu Raste Jamaat and 30 families in Papetthadka Jamaat in Puttur taluk. 

This was the second phase of Ramadan kit distributions carried out by the Team B-Human. So far the team distributed Ramadan kits among 200 families in three different Jamaat.

Koodu Raste Juma Masjid Khateeb Yaqoob Darimi offered dua before distribution.  Team B-Human members Ashraf Aina group, Althaf, Shia Deals, Ahnaf Deals, Abdul Shukoor Haji, and E-Friends founder president Imtiyaz Perla, Saleem U B of Youth Congress, Juma Masjid president P K Mohammad Shafi Papettadka were present. 

A release issued by the Team B-Human sated that it distributed food among 35,000 people since April 23. The beneficiaries include a large number of migrant workers irrespective of their caste and religion. It also arranged Iftar and Suhoor for around 450 stranded migrants every day.

Asif Deals, found of Team B-Human, said that in next phases more Ramadan kits will be distributed among needy families in some jamaats.
