Kundapura, Jan 6: A person was killed on spot and another sustained severe injuries when two motorbikes collided with each other here.
The deceased has been identified as Vasanth Nayak(42) a resident of Nayakavadi. He is survived by wife and daughter.
His wife, who was riding pillion has been hospitalized with critical injuries following the accident.
A case has been registered at Kundapur police station.
Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.
The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.
A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.
