Roopesh Shetty’s Tulu video album released

Mangalore, Feb 15: Tulu video album ‘Moke onchuru joke’ was released at Town Hall in  recently.

Speaking after releasing the album, Tulu Film Director Vijay Kumar Kodial said that theater and movies have been playing a vital role in the growth of Tulu language.

Actor Aravid Bolar said that people of Tulunadu, who love their culture, should appreciate the effort of upcoming talent.

World should know the richness of Tulu culture, he said.

Film actor Arjun Kapikad, artiste Dinesh Attavar, Shivam Cassettes proprietor Ranganath Kini, technicians Gururaj Mangaluru, Nagarjun Mangalpadi, Ashok Bekur and others were present.

The singer in the album is V J Roopesh T Shetty.

Businessman Uday Kumar Ballalbagh has produced the album.

All six songs of the album are directed by Gururaj Mangalore.

Renowned artists like Naveen D Padeel, Aravind Bolar, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Dinesh Attavar and Arjun Kapikad have acted in it.

Kalaburagi, Jul 2: Hoteliers in Kalaburagi have claimed that their business is hit due to night curfew timings in the state.

The night curfew in the state has been imposed from 8 pm to 5 am.

Speaking to news agency, Sudarshan, a hotelier said, "Peak business hour is 7-10 pm but now we close by 8 pm. There is almost no business. We are unable to pay our workers. The government should think about it".

"We haven't received any benefit from the government so far. If we are in trouble how will we help our workers? Relaxation should be given," he added.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government on Tuesday announced a complete lockdown on Sundays till August 2.

So far, Karnataka has reported 15,242 COVID-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

Mangaluru, June 14: The management of Barakah International School and College has announced to waive off 33% of tuition fee in order to lessen the burden on parents who are undergoing financial crisis due to covid lockdown. 

This decision was taken after a series of virtual meetings with the Managing Director, Academic Director, Principal, Manager and PRO.

“While the school needs to continue to meet all the commitments and responsibilities towards the staff salaries, software, networking, etc, we fully understand that in the prevailing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, job loss, reduction in salaries, general hardships of the self-employed businesses and the slowdown in the economy,” sated a release issued by the school.

“We would support our parent fraternity pro-actively and at the same time continue to meet the high-quality standards of our teaching- learning process and infrastructure so it has been decided that 1/3 of the tuition fee to be waived off for 2020-21,” the release said.
