Abdul Hafiz is SSF state president, Aboobakar Siddiq general secretary

Mysore, February 26: The annual general body meeting of Karnataka State Sunni Students Federation (SSF) State Committee was held at Al Noor School, Mysore.

New executive members were elected for the next two years on the occasion.

A Y Abdul Hafiz Sa'adi Madikeri was elected as the President. K M Aboobakar Siddiq was chosen General Secretary.

K H Ismail Sa'adi, M E Umar Saqafi Kodagu and Abdul Karim Muhsin Haveri were elected Vice President, while C A Yaqub Kolakeri, Hafiz Abussalam Nizami, Sadiq Laksheshwar Gadag were chosen Joint Secretaries.

M B Mohammed Sadiq was named Campus Secretary while K A Hasainar Sakleshpur will perform duties as Treasurer.

Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal, Udupi Qazi and State President, Sunni Ulema Okkoota, K P Hussain Sa'adi, State President, SYS, Mahmood Musliyar Kodagu, President, Coorg Jamiyathul Ulama, S P Hamza Saqafi, Former State President, SSF, G M Mohammed Kaamil Saqafi, Dr. Fazil Rizvi Hazrath, Prof. S Abdurrahman Engineer were included in the Advisory Committee.

Mangaluru, May. 21: The Bearys Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI Mangaluru) is held the Eid Kits distribution program on Wednesday, 27th day of Ramadan (20.05.2020) at BCCI office in Kankanady, Mangaluru. 

It distributed around 250 kits including some cash amount to the needy

BCCI president Mr S. M. Rasheed Haji, vice president Mr. Abdul Rauf Puthige, Administrative Secretary Mr. Nissar F. Mohammed, and Executive Members  Mr. Mumtaz Ali B.M.,

Madikeri, Jul 24: Water from river Cauvery, which is deemed as holy, and mud from Kodagu, the birth district of river Cauvery was collected and will be sent to Ayodhya for use during groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pooja) ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir on August 5.

Workers of Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Hindu Jagarana Vedike collected the soil and water from River Cauvery at Talacauvery Kshetra, the birthplace of river Cauvery.

Special pooja was offered at Talacauvery, praying for the timely completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Madikeri, Jun 9: A rare Rurk’s Ristella Skink was found by some wildlife enthusiasts on their way to Madapur in Kodagu district.

Ristella Rurkii, commonly known as Rurk’s Ristella, is a species of skink endemic to the Western Ghats of Southern India. It is a small, insectivorous, diurnal skink found in Shola grasslands and rain forests of hills ranges in parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

The specific name, rurkii, is in honour of “Dr Rurk” who collected the type specimen in the Annamalai Hills, High Ranges, Travancore, and the Palani Hills, of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. It is endemic to rainforests South of Palghat Gap.
