Bantwal, Apr 21: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah while vouching for reservation as a solution to empowering people in a caste-ridden society averred that reservation is losing its efficacy in an era where more jobs are being created in private rather than government sector.

Observing that caste system is deep-rooted in society and creates socio-economic imbalances, the CM said it is important to have reservations till such time that his disparity is removed from society in totality.

Dedicating Narayana Guru Jnana Mandir constructed by Brahmashree Narayana Guru Seva Samiti at Sajeepamuda in Bantwal taluk on Thursday, Siddaramaiah reminded the audience of a statement of the architect of India's Constitution B R Ambedkar that reservation has to be continued till such time that caste system is rooted out fully. "Agreed that Ambedkar initially wanted reservation for 10 years hoping that social imbalances would be corrected by then," CM observed.

Noting that social reformers and visionaries such as Buddha, Basaveshwara, Ambedkar and even Narayana Guru did shake the foundations of caste system in India with their radical thinking on the issue, Siddaramaiah regretted that the system got further ensconced in society with them no longer in the scene. "Have all those oppressed become free now," he questioned noting that instances of people suffering the scourge of untouchability are reported even now.

Batting for reservation, Siddaramaiah said even a developed state like the USA practises it, albeit in different form. "They have racial discrimination where fair skinned are given preferential treatment," he said adding this is nothing but a form of reservation. The Congress government in state has not just catered to interests of the AHINDA class as its opponents criticize it, CM said adding rather it has catered to interests of all economically poor across class.

The cabinet on Wednesday took a historic decision where it has decided to go in for reservations in contracts the government contracts, he said. Under this, SC/ST community members will get to exclusively bid for government contracts up to Rs 50 lakh in any given area proportionate to their population there, he said. The government has also set aside 24.1% of the state's planned outlay of Rs 85000-odd crore for the betterment of SC/ST communities this year, he noted.

State government will celebrate Brahmashree Narayana Guru Jayanthi henceforth on September 18. Responding to a plea from Harikrishna Bantwal, advisor to the Samiti, CM said the Brahmashree Narayana Guru Jayanthi Jayanthi will be used as a day to spread the message of social equality that the social reformer saint from Kerala preached. Narayana Guru was born in Kerala on September 18, 1854 and died on September 21, 1928. He fought against caste system and propagated equality. He opened temples in Kerala when upper caste people denied entry to people from backward castes.

The entire route of CM Siddaramaiah from airport to Sajeepamuda, in the city and route to Surathkal where he took part in several functions was awash with flex banners in violation of rules. Over enthusiastic party workers, MLAs and even ministers ensured that they took up most vantage points to ensure that the banners caught the eye. When TOI brought this to CMs attention, Siddaramaiah said, "I will instruct the party rank and file not to do so." The Union ministry for environment and forests has banned use of flex banners along with a host of other plastic items, recently.

Prophet Muhammad pbuh (Last & final messenger of ALLAH) said : O people! Your God is ONE and YOUR forefather (ADAM) is ONE. An Arab is not better than a non-Arab AND a non-Arab is not better than an Arab, and a White person is not better than a Black person AND a Black person is not better than a White person, EXCEPT by PIETY and GOOD DEEDS.

Please LOOK and PONDER on what Prophet of God says.. There is a lot to learn for YOU & ME in this LIFE and to KNOW more on Who is WORTHY of WORSHIP...
Humans are an intelligent CREATION of ALLAH and we should know What ALLAH says rather than believing blindly what MEDIA says about ISLAM and its matter... LOOK into the Source of ISLAM which is THE QURAN... (it says all mankind is from Adam... and there is lesson to all mankind for all ages)

Bengaluru, Jul 21: Leader of Opposition and former Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah on Monday attacked the ruling government and said press conference of Health Minister B Siramulu was more like an exercise to hide facts than presenting proof with accurate data.

"Got to know about the press conference addressed by B Siramulu and Dr Ashwathnarayan CN to clear accusations of corruption. It looked more like an exercise to hide facts than presenting proof with accurate data," Siddaramaiah tweeted.

"It is still unclear about the points presented in the press conference. They have not answered any of my questions which were raised earlier. I will respond in detail once I receive the written explanation from the govt. Minister has claimed that both Health & Medical education department together have spent Rs323 Cr. But the data presented by them does not even add up to Rs100 Cr. What happened to the rest of the money?," asked Siddaramaiah.

He said that Centre has procured ventilators at Rs4 lakh per unit under PM Cares. But only in our state, the ventilators are procured at Rs12-Rs18 lakh per unit

"Prime Minister's Office has procured ventilators at Rs4 lakh per unit under PM Cares. But only in our state, the ventilators are procured at Rs12-Rs18 lakh per unit. Why do we see such a huge difference in price? Ministers, in the press conference, have told that quality & technological capabilities are the reasons for huge price difference. Does it mean ventilators under PM Cares lack quality? Why did they not present the technical specifications to justify the same?" he asked.

"Not just about the procurement of medical equipment, I had even asked data about food kits, PDS distribution, beds procured, quarantine centres & isolation wards. Where is the data for that?" he asked in a series of tweets.

Shivamogga, Aug 5: Karnataka Minister KS Eshwarappa on Wednesday hailed the laying of foundation stone (bhoomi pujan) for a grand Ram temple in Ayodhya and said "Kashi Vishwanath and "Krishna Janmasthan temples have to be liberated".

"It is a good day that the foundation stone for Ram Temple has been laid. A beautiful temple will come up, but there are Kashi Vishwanath and Krishna Janmasthan temples which have to be liberated," Eshwarappa said.

The minister said that there is a "sign of slavery" at Krishna temple in Mathura and Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi.

"The whole nation is dreaming of Shri Krishna temple in Mathura and Kashi Vishwanath temple. I have visited the two temples.

There is a sign of slavery. Mosques are there at holy places. When I visited the place at Mathura, I witnessed the wall. When we look at the wall, we feel like we are still slaves," he said.

"While visiting Kashi, there is also a structure of slavery. Dream of Hindus is fulfilled in Ayodhya. One day, it will be fulfilled in Mathura and Kashi. Mathura Sri Krishna and Kashi Vishwanath will be freed and temple will be built," Eshwarappa added.

The Places of Worship Act, enacted in 1991, says that religious character of a place of worship existing on the August 15, 1947 shall continue to be the same as it existed on that day. The Act kept Ayodhya case out of its purview.

New Delhi, Jul 27: A month after banning 59 Chinese applications, the government of Indian has now reportedly banned 47 more apps of Chinese origin in the country. According to sources, the 47 banned Chinese apps were operating as clones of the earlier banned apps.

The list of the 47 Chinese applications banned by the Indian government will be released soon.

India has also prepared a list of over 250 Chinese apps, including apps linked to Alibaba, that it will examine for any user privacy or national security violations, government sources said. The list also includes Tencent-backed gaming app PUBG.

Some top gaming Chinese applications are also expected to be banned in the new list that is being drawn up, sources said. The Chinese applications, that are being reviewed, have allegedly been sharing data with the Chinese agencies.

Today's decision follows after a high-profile ban of 59 Chinese apps including TikTok, as border tensions continued in Ladakh after a violent, fatal face-off between the Indian and Chinese armies. The government said these apps were engaged in activities that were prejudicial to the sovereignty, integrity and defence of India.

A government press release announcing the ban stated: "The Ministry of Information Technology, invoking it's power under section 69A of the Information Technology Act read with the relevant provisions of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking of Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009 and in view of the emergent nature of threats has decided to block 59 apps since in view of information available they are engaged in activities which is prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, security of state and public order".

A day later, Google said it has removed all the banned applications from the Play Store. Following the ban, TikTok refuted the claims that suggest it will pursue legal action against the Indian government for banning the app in India.

Reacting to the 59 apps banned by India, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said the country is "strongly concerned regarding the decision of the Indian government".

“China is strongly concerned, verifying the situation,” Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Zhao Lijian was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.

"We want to stress that the Chinese government always asks Chinese businesses to abide by international and local laws-regulations. The Indian government has a responsibility to uphold the legal rights of international investors including Chinese ones," Zhao Lijian said.
