CBSE 10th Results: Al Furqan School secured 100% results

Moodbidri: May 30: Al- Furqan Islamic English Medium School, Puthige, Moodbidri recorded 100% result in the CBSE 10th Board Examination 2017-18 for the consecutive fourth year.

Out of 38 students, 5 bagged distinction, 20 passed with first class, 12 with second class and 1 student with third class.

The distinction students are: Asiya Faria Salahuddin 95.2%, Ahmad Ajaz – 91%, Khatheeja Kabsa Farath – 90%, Eisa Mohammed – 89%, Afrah Salam – 86.4%

The chairman U.M Moidin Kunhi, the Director Mumtaz Binth Moidin Kunhi and the trustees congratulated the principal, the staffs, the parents and all the students for their wonderful feat.

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.

The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.

Tumakuru, Jun 20: An SSLC student of Siddaganga Mutt here was admitted to the isolation ward of the district hospital on Saturday after he showed Covid-19 symptoms.

Health officials said that the student, a native of the Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, had returned to the Mutt via Raichur on June 15 for writing the SSLC examination scheduled to begin on June 25.

After he was admitted to the hospital the Health Department Officials kept three of his roommates under quarantine. Throat swab sample of the student has also been sent for testing.

Kalaburagi, Jul 2: Hoteliers in Kalaburagi have claimed that their business is hit due to night curfew timings in the state.

The night curfew in the state has been imposed from 8 pm to 5 am.

Speaking to news agency, Sudarshan, a hotelier said, "Peak business hour is 7-10 pm but now we close by 8 pm. There is almost no business. We are unable to pay our workers. The government should think about it".

"We haven't received any benefit from the government so far. If we are in trouble how will we help our workers? Relaxation should be given," he added.

Meanwhile, the Karnataka government on Tuesday announced a complete lockdown on Sundays till August 2.

So far, Karnataka has reported 15,242 COVID-19 cases, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
