Udupi, Jan 24: A hilarious speech delivered by Congress leader CM Ibrahim during the recent biennial Paryaya festival in which the 85-year-old Pejawar mutt seer Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swami ascended the Paryaya Peetha in Udupi has gone viral on social media, prompting the former’s fans and political rivals to engage in a debate.
In his 10 minute Kannada speech, Mr Ibrahim, the deputy chairman of Karnataka State Planning Board, not only called himself a devotee of Pejawar seer but also called the latter a god.
“There are two walking gods in Karnataka: one is Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga Mutt and the other is Pejawar Swamiji,” declared Mr Ibrahim, who is known as a “demagogue” among Indian politicians.
The former civil aviation minister said that getting an opportunity to deliver a speech in the presence of Pejawar seer during the historic Paryaya festivities in Udupi is more fortunate moment of his life than that of becoming a union minister.
The speech enriched with Sanskrit ‘shlokas’, hyperbolic dialogues and proverbs, earned a thunderous applause. After the audio clipping of the speech began to spread on WhatsApp and Facebook, it attracted equally interesting response from the social media enthusiasts.

First of all he does not know the main message of Islam which is oneness of God. (even if he knows it, still does not know the seriousness of God). Ulema the scholars say 1 third of Quran(almost 200pages OR 10Parts of Quran) is only about oneness of God.
This is the key of Islam. Unless a person knows it(Oneness of God), he can not go forward to learn Islam. Islam is based on this oneness. So, Islam does not allow for associating anything with the God. Even the Gods special qualities can also be not seen in others. Even a negligible minute portion can not be equated to that one and only God, who controls the entire universe. Even we can not say our mother, father also to the level of God. It is the duty of every Muslim not to make such mistakes of equating anything with the God. This is called as Shirk associating someone with the God. May Allah forgive our mistakes, help us to learn the fact and share with others.

Bengaluru, Jul 6: A video clip of a Bengaluru-based doctor urging the follow doctors to return to their duty at a time when medicos are desperately needed to fight against COVID-19 has busted the myth of ‘shortage of beds’ in the hospitals.
In past few of weeks, dozens of people in Bengaluru have lost their lives after hospital denied them admission citing lack of beds.
Dr Taha Mateen, Managing Director of HBS Hospital, in an emotional message, appealed to healthcare professionals, including doctors, to help handle the situation better. The video has gone viral on social media.
“I speak from the ICU of HBS Hospital. It’s been a virtual bloodbath. I came in the morning at like 7:30 in the morning and its 12’o’clock midnight right now. Patients are continuously calling me now ‘cause their fathers are breathless, their brothers are breathless and they cannot find a room in Bengaluru and at this time if you see there is one Mr Shiva and me. There is no other doctor willing to work in this hospital,” Dr Mateen says in the video.
Dr Mateen further said, "I have beds, I have oxygen beds, I have ventilators, I have all the equipment. I have another 30 beds like this but I don’t have doctors working here.” He said that there is an urgent need to mobilise healthcare staff.
Sources said the COVID-19 patients at the hospital are left with only five doctors and 12 nurses. Until recently, the HBS Hospital had 20 nurses and 44 doctors on its roll.
According to a report, the hospital is facing huge difficulties in treating patients admitted at Intensive Care Units (ICU). Eight patients with severe respiratory problems are admitted to the hospital and are waiting for their COVID-19 test results.
"We have sufficient beds at the hospital to treat coronavirus patients, but we don't have doctors. And we can't admit more patients as we are left with just five doctors, said Dr Taha Mateen.
"All doctors are on WhatsApp, I request all doctors to come out and perform their duties, Dr Mateen said in a video appeal on WhatsApp, Twitter and Instagram.
According to Dr Mateen, a COVID-19 patient, who was admitted to COVID care centre at Haj Bhavan, was abandoned on a road by an ambulance driver. Later, the patient was picked by NGO volunteers.
"The patient was brought to HBS Hospital at 2 am. He had a very low blood oxygen level. We stabilised his condition. Later, we had to send him home as we don't have enough staff to take care of him. We also sent an oxygen cylinder to his home," a report quoted Dr Mateen as saying.

Bengaluru, Apr 15: As many as 17 new positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Karnataka, taking the total number of cases in the state to 277, including 75 discharged and 11 deaths, the state government said on Wednesday.
Of the 17 new cases, nine are workers of a pharmaceutical company in Mysuru, the government stated.
Meanwhile, a 65-year-old from Chikkaballapur, who had tested positive for COVID-19, lost his life on Wednesday.
"He was referred to a Bengaluru hospital with complaints of H1N1 positive, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease with obstructive sleep apnea and a past history of diabetes and hypertension," the government stated.

Bengaluru, Feb 19: Karnataka Forest Minister Anand Singh on Wednesday said that there was no criminal case filed directly against him.
When asked about PIL filed in the Karnataka High Court against him, Singh told media: "Some lawyer has filed a PIL against me in the High Court. I cannot stop anyone from filing the PIL."
"I have given my criminal record. There is no criminal case directly filed against me. My name is there in some cases but in 'others category'. We will see what happens," he said.
When asked about Congress leader Siddaramaiah's comments criticising him for being given the forest portfolio, Singh said: "I cannot comment on what he said against me as he is a former chief minister and very senior leader."
"Also the opposition always tries to make allegations against me. That is why he criticised me," he said.
Leader of Opposition in Karnataka Assembly Siddaramaiah on Monday demanded that Forest Minister Anand Singh should either be expelled from the ministry or assigned a different portfolio.
A number of cases are pending against Singh including those registered under the Karnataka Forest Act.

I do remember this CM Ibrahim's 20 year old speech in Bengaluru. He was addressing a muslim gathering. Here are the excerpts:
