Bengaluru, Feb 8: The Congress this time may bring out three separate manifestoes - state, region, and district wise- for the upcoming Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections.

According to Manifesto Committee chairman M Veerappa Moily, Congress manifesto will focus on the party's achievements in its current term and its promises for the next five years. The proposed manifesto will cover several socio-economic and political aspects, but will not make promises to any particular community as our organisation is a secular one.

The state-level manifesto will list out programmes which will be applicable across the state while zonal-level manifesto will have details of the projects targeting the particular region or zone, said Moily in an interview.

The district-level manifesto will comprise the projects which are going to be implemented in that particular district if the party comes to power, the Congress leader said.

The state manifesto will be released by party president Rahul Gandhi in Bengaluru at a big event. Simultaneously, in zonal levels important leaders of that region will release the zonal manifesto. Subsequently, senior local leaders will release the district-wise manifesto, Moily said.

Manifesto release function will be a grand event that will be shown live at party offices across the state via video conferencing.

"Already, I have held over a dozen meetings in various regions and with representatives of different sectors. Again, we will ask the party workers and public to provide their inputs. Taking everything into account, we will prepare comprehensive manifestoes, Moily said. Though demand for separate religion tag for Lingayat is a long standing one of that community, the Congress will not mention this in the manifesto, the former chief minister.

I think you are out of mind. Please study the things before jumping to comment. Siddaramiah govt is the first govt in the history of Karnataka to fulfil more than 95% of its pre-poll manifesto promise. Still around months to go and it will fulfil 100% promises.
