Bengaluru, Dec 24: Rejecting the State government's decision to order an CID and Magistrate inquiry into the Mangaluru firing incident in which two persons were killed, Congress in Karnataka reiterated its demand for a judicial inquiry by a sitting High court judge, here on Tuesday.
Addressing a press confrence here on Tuesday, senior Congress leader and the former minister U T Khader termed the state government's decision to order for a CID inquiry as an 'eyewash'.
Stating that December 19 police firing incident in which two persons were killed, could have been averted if Police took the precautionary measures, the Congress leader alleged that there was a conspiracy hatched by the BJP leaders behind the police firing.
