Cops nab two for cattle transportation; seize vehicle, five animals

Mangaluru, Sep 19: Two cattle transporters including an elderly man were arrested near Nekkiladi, under Uppinangady police station, here on Saturday night.

cattletransport The arrested have been identified as Umar (63), a resident of Chennarayapatna and Shareef (20) from Bantwal. Police have seized their vehicle along with five cattle.

According to police the two were transporting cattle without proper documents. Police personnel who were on night patrolling questioned the duo and found that the cattle were transported illegally from Hassan to Mangaluru.

They have been booked under Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and sent to judicial custody. A case has been registered at Uppinangady police station.

recently i have seen one video of india bangladesh border illegal transhport, how they inhumanly hang cow and throwing one border to another border, always just learn that every life has a pain, in this life time if u cant save the animals pls dont hurt them.

Stupid people still they do not know RSS cops what they are looking for, If they could have offered a plate of Mutton Biriyani and Rs.100/- for the Police they would have released on the spot.

In Mangaluru pro-CAA rally Rajnath Singh rakes up Kashmiri Pundit issue

Mangaluru, Jan 27: No power can now stop Kashmiri Pandits from going back to Kashmir, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday, forcefully defending the NDA government’s decision to reorganise Jammu and Kashmir and abrogating its special status under Article 370.

Addressing a massive pro-CAA, NRC rally organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party at Gold Finch city, Kuloor, on the outskirts of the city, the Defence minister also sent a strong message to Pakistan and said India will not let anyone live in peace if it is harmed.

"We will not touch anyone, but if someone bothers us, then we are not going to let them live in peace," he said.

Referring to the exodus of a large number of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in the late 1990s at the height of militancy, Singh said no power now can stop them from returning to their homes.

On the Citizenship Amendment Act, the minister said it is not a law to hurt the sentiments of any religion but to give relief to victims of religious persecution.

Mahatma Gandhi had told Nehru to give citizenship to minorities like Hindus and Sikhs if they come to India and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled that vision by bringing in the law, Singh said.

On several non-BJP states refusing to implement the CAA, the defence minister said it it is a central law and everyone should follow it.

Accusing the Congress of misleading people on the issue, he said the party should not forget its duty towards the nation just because it is in opposition.

D K Shivakumar accuses BJP of selling rice meant to be distributed among poor

Bengaluru, Apr 25: KPCC president D K Shivakumar, has alleged that BJP leaders from the state have sold rice that was meant to be distributed to the poor in Tamil Nadu.

Speaking to newsmen here on Friday, he stated that Congress fully supports the government’s work in the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, but maybe unknown to the Chief Minister, corrupt dealings are which we want to bring to his attention.

He alleged that 1,879 quintals of rice brought from Haryana have been illegally sold to a businessman in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.
