Hyderabad, July 2: A woman employee of IT major Infosys has died reportedly after falling off a multi-level parking lot inside the company's campus in Hyderabad late on Monday night. The police is investigating whether she jumped from the building or was pushed. Her family has alleged foul play.

Neelima Yeruva, 27, was found near the parking lot at 10.30 pm last night by a security guard, the police said. She was rushed to Apollo Hospital at about 10.50 pm, where she was declared brought dead. Her distraught family claims they were informed about her death only at about 3 am and have demanded to know why the delay.

They have other questions. Neelima, they say left home at 7.30 in the evening and CCTV footage shows her in the Infosys campus till 9.30 pm, when she went to the parking lot. At 10.30 she was found by the security guard. The family wants to know what happened in that one hour. Her uncle says Neelima did have a car and so had no reason to be at the parking lot.

Also, Neelima's purse was found on the 10th floor of the office building and one of her shoes was found on the seventh floor; her uncle says this shows that she might have been chased down. He also alleged that the body bore injury marks.

The family says Neelima's mother will file a police complaint asking why the family was informed only at 3 am when she fell at 10:30 pm and was brought to Apollo Hospital at 10:50 pm.

The Infosys employee had been away in the US since 2011 on a project and lived in New Jersey. She had returned to India only on July 22 and had tickets to the US for August 17, the police said. Neelima's husband is a software professional. He was to leave for the US with her. The family lives in the Kukatpally area of Hyderabad.
