Dammam: JF urges establishment of a grievance redressal body for Middle East Kannadigas

Dammam, May 8: A team from Dammam chapter of Jam’iyyatul Falah (JF) took part in the ‘delegates meet’ organized by Dakshina Karnataka Sunni Center (DKSC) in Coral International Hotel at Dhahran on May 2 to interact with the two ministers and an MLA from Dakshina Kannada.

Minister for Health and Family Welfare U. T. Khader, Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology Ramanath Rai, Mangalore North Assembly Constituency MLA B. A. Mohiuddin Bava and former Minister for Civil Aviation C M Ibrahim participated in the event.

The interaction session was an opportunity for coastal Karnataka expatriates to exchange several issues on the coastal belt of Karnataka and ministers were able to respond and assured the problem faced by the people of Coastal Karnataka will be solved and settled case by case, stated a release issued by JF.

The Indian entrepreneurs were invited for investment in Karnataka and several business opportunities and benefits were discussed with the Ministers for their participation in different investment schemes.

On behalf of all the Non-Resident Kannadigas, JF- Dammam Chapter president Mansour Ali Ahmed presented a memorandum to all the ministers and MLA urging to form a department to redress the grievances of Non-Resident Kannadigas (NRKs) in the Middle Eastern countries to strengthen the relationship between the NRKs and the government of karnataka to institutionalize the administrative framework.

With the assurance from all the charitable organizations of Karnataka, who will be ready to assist the Government in all possible way to put into effect the implementation of NRKs Welfare Affairs Department in the State of Karnataka to benefit Kannadigas returning from overseas for the proper implementation of various welfare schemes for the rehabilitation of returned NRKs.

The Ministers and MLA were felicitated and JF Vice President Imran Karkala honoured Ramanath Rai with a shawl. JF Advisor Abbas Ahmed honoured C M Ibrahim with a shawl, Ex-President Abdul Munaf honoured B. A. Mohideen Bava with a shawl and JF Event Chairman Mohammad Hussain honoured to U. T. Khader with a shawl.

JF Ex-NRCC Ameer Shahul Hameed proposed vote of thanks and extended the gratitude on behalf of Jam’iyyatul Falah to all the Executive Members of DKSC for organizing a meaningful meet with the delegates.

Dubai: A non-profitable social organization, KSCC is delivering a great service to the community during this pandemic situation.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club is a civil organization registered under Community Development Authority (CDA) involved in implementing various UAE government initiatives, blood donation drives, health campaigns, sport events, charity works, awareness programs and much more.

KSCC is currently actively liaising with Dubai government authorities in discharging the needs and requirements of the people in these challenging covid-19 pandemic times. It is also involved the activities such as logistics, coordinating stores, mobilizing isolation centers, equipping quarantine facilities and volunteering services.

During these testing times, KSCC is also facilitating the Guidance to the general public, follow-up up to 122 covid positive cases, counselling the affected, assisting the references and providing the ever-necessary emotional support by setting up a team of 24 reserved persons for call center helplines.

As per the request from DHA (Dubai Health Authority) KSCC has successfully organized the blood donation drive and donated upto 141 units of blood with the help of KSCC members & supporters.

Apart from above, KSCC is also engaged in serving needy by distributing the food provisional kit (Yestahloon) from the very 1st day of lockdown till day by their special task force team under guidelines of CDA, and also taking into consideration the month of Ramadan, team is successfully distributing Iftar food & provision kit with the help of donors.

In the 1st Phase, KSCC covered 2421 beneficiaries by providing 440 provisional food kits, 435 food pack and 529 Iftar kits.

As per the CDA guidelines, club is also engaged in following up the health condition of senior citizens living in UAE.

KSCC special team is also engaged in clearing documentation and formalities related to dead body repatriation until its final procedures and handing over to relatives with help of UAE governments authorities. Total 5 dead bodies are repatriated in their 1st phase of service.

KSCC is also having a center controlled special task team to assist all above activities during the covid-19 pandemic to continue the services to general public.

KSCC thanks all Government authorities, Members in different task team, supporters and Sponsors company MAERSK, MALABAR GOLD & DIAMOND and TAMIL ENTREPRENEUR for their support and also request extend their support to consolidate the above demanding service and deliver our best possible assistance not only because it is the month of Ramadan, but also our responsibility to reach out to the poor and needy, during this fight against Covid-19.

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Riyadh, Feb 24: Indian Islahi Center, Riyadh (IICR) kicked off the propagation campaign of "Learn the Quran" national conference, which is slated to be held on March 27, 2020 at Nofa Istiraha, Exit 18, Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. It's IICR's 20th successful program.

Kerala Legislative Assembly's opposition leader & Congress leader, Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurated the campaign that was held at Voco Hotel in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ramesh was on two days visit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The objective of the campaign is to instil the keenness & to keep creating the continuous awareness amongst the community on Quran. It also enables to recite the Quran with Tajweed (science of reading the Quran) & correct form.

Aboobakker Edthanatukkara (President of IICR), Abdul Qayyum Bustani, Kunhi Kumbala, Abdullah Vallanchira, Adv. Abdul Jaleel, Naushad Ali Kozhikode, Mujeeb Ali Thodigappulam, Muhammad Kutty Kadannamanna, Fasal Rahman City Flower, Mujeeb Irumbuzhi, Jaleel Alappuzha, Arafat & others were present on the occasion.
