Demonetisation: Shahid, Kareena, Deepika joins rest of B-Town to support Modi's move

Mumbai, Nov 14: Bollywood support keeps growing for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation move. After the Khans, Aishwarya, Akshay and Ajay voiced their approval of Modi's move to declare Rs 500 and Rs 1000 as invalid currency, now Shahid Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Pink actor Taapsee Pannu have joined in to stand by our Prime Minister.

skdShahid said that the government's step was extremely important and rather bold.

"If we have to eliminate corruption, when it is so much, it is necessary to take a hard step. I think its still early to comment on how it'll go because there are certain practicalities attached to the change in currency notes. It is going to be difficult," said Shahid Kapoor.

Shahid agreed that people are finding it difficult to cope up with the sudden change of affairs; standing in long queues outside banks and ATMs and facing difficulties to transact cash in day-to-day life but added that the step taken by the Modi government is pointing in the right direction.

"Everybody is finding it difficult, but if it leads to less corruption, less black money, less fake money - which is also a very big issue we are facing - then I think its a bold step and in the right direction," said the Udta Punjab actor.

Shahid's ex-flame Kareena Kapoor Khan also supported the move saying, "It is a very good decision." When asked if she was having problems to exchange currency, Kareena said, "I am only carrying Rs 2000 note, I dont have Rs 500, 1000 note!"

Shahid's Padmavati co-star Deepika also hailed the demonetisation policy as an exceptional move.

Actor Tamannaah Bhatia echoed Shahid statements about the policy being aimed at the greater good.

"I know the common man is facing a lot of difficulty because of this condition but I know for a fact that it is for a good cause and eventually this will turn out to be the right thing to do. From a long run perspective this is the best thing to have happened," said Bhatia.

Aditi Rao Hydari and Pink actor Taapsee Pannu issued similar statements.

"People like vegetable vendors and others are facing inconvenience and I am trying to help them. But it is a very good step by the government," said Hydari.

Taapsee Pannu said, "People will face problems obviously, but I think it should be good for the longer run... It is like an experiment, I don't know if it will work or not but it is worth giving a shot."

Washington, April 3: American actor Kristen discussed her experience being isolated with husband and their two kiddos.

According to Fox News, the 39-year-old actor discussed how she and Shepard are finding quarantine to be a little tough in a video chat to Entertainment Tonight.

Bell admitted: "We've gotten on each other's last nerve these last couple days. We're doing much better now because were laughing about it. But when we were not laughing about it for the first couple of days, that's the hard spot."

The 'Bad Mom' actor then shared her thoughts on why quarantining with loved ones can be so tough. She explained that she loves spending time with her husband and he loves spending time with her.

But what she thinks is different about this quarantine time is you have so much more time to think about the other persona and their actions and sort of replay what they said or attach a meaning to something that they did.
Bell added: "Nobody really needs time for that. That's useless."

The 'Frozen' actor also discussed having to make adjustments in regards to her kids, 7-year-old Lincoln, and 5-year-old Delta, and the schedule she tried to keep once the quarantine began.

She said that the biggest lesson she learnt, in the beginning, was that she wrote out the colour coded schedule, and noted about when will be their academic and academic time.

Kristen explained that by day five of schedule, she was making everybody miserable. About a week ago, she woke her kids up and encouraged her daughters to rip up the schedule, explaining that the kids "felt so good."

"I said the learning lesson here is that if you make a plan and it's not working, you pivot," said Bell.
