‘DHAND’ Tulu movie records houseful show once again in Dubai

Dubai: Sandhya Creations second super hit venture “DHAND” re-launch witnessed a houseful show on Friday the 3rd August, 2018 at 4 pm sharp in Galleria Cinemas, Hyatt Regency, Deira-Dubai.  This show was arranged due to public demand in Dubai.  Another show in Abu Dhabi and also one more show in USA are awaiting finalization.
Tulu film lovers flocked into the Theatre much in advance and the theatre was fully occupied with people waiting inside and outside the Theatre to watch the movie DHAND.  It is great to know that a second screening movie that too in Tulu got such a great response in Dubai which can be recorded as for the first time ever.  Very many non-Tuluvas also happily witnessed DHAND as they could watch it with English Sub-title comfortably.

Producer, Shodhan Prasad welcomed the audience and thanked them for being part of the show in support of Tulu language.  He then invited Fr. Franklin D’Souza, National Youth Director of ICYM – India and welcomed him with rose.  He also welcomed Praveen Shetty, President of KNRI Forum Dubai/Owner of Fortune Group of Hotels, Veteran Mangalurean entrepreneur, film producer and philanthropist Frank Fernandes owner of Mosaco Shipping Company, Entrepreneur, singer, actor & philanthropist Joseph Mathias of Merit Freight Shipping, Entrepreneur Gunsheel Shetty of Ace Cranes, Anil Kapadia stalwart in Insurance Industry Dubai & Actor Deepak Paladka of Tulu, Kannada & Konkani films who were all greeted with Rose flower by Shravya Prasad & Nindiya Prasad.  Sandhya Prasad of ‘Sandhya Creations’ was also the main person behind the special show.  Lyricst of DHAND, Rajneesh Amin along with is family was also part of the show in Galleria.

Fr. Franklin rendered prayer before the start of the show and thanked the Producer for his love and friendship.   He expressed his happiness to be part of the move as a viewer and said that movie field is yet another media to communicate a social message through entertainment. It is great job to take courage and speak the truth to resist the crime and contribute to the society which should be built on justice and peace, he added on the subject of the movie.

DHAND gained appreciation wherever released in India and abroad with its quality comparison to the standards of Hindi movie and mass entertainment.  DHAND also has the credit of being the first Tulu Movie to be released in Australia with successful two shows in Melbourne and Perth.  It has also recorded shows in London, Canada, Israel, Muscat and other countries successfully.  DHAND other than Mangalore was also screened successfully in various parts of Mumbai, Nasik, Dhanu & other parts with houseful shows.  There were also request from Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, USA, Baroda, Delhi, Pune, Chennai & Bangalore for special shows but were not able to do due to logistical reasons. DHAND is one such Tulu movie which otherwise has been screened in maximum theatres across the world.

DHAND Tulu Movie is being carefully, beautifully and digitally created without compromising on the quality, line and length with a mass social message to women folk on drug awareness.  The movie created awareness waves and received appreciations wherever released.  

Story, script and directed by NIREL fame Ranjith Bajpe it has soulful background Music and Songs composed by Music Director Abhishek S.N. with Lyrics by Loku Kudla, Rajneesh Amin & U.Y. Ravichandran Sonandoor.  Well known playback singer from Hindi film industry, Sonu Nigham & Anoop Shanker lended their voice for some beautiful songs other than voices of Abhishek, Pushpanjali Suchi & Akanksha Badami.  Edited by Sujith Nayak & D.O.P by Karthik Mallur it has stunts by Ultimate Shivu.
Starring Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty, Anoop Sagar along with Deepak Paladka, Shilpa Suvarna, Nidhi Maroli & Anvitha Sagar in the lead roles they are supported by Gopinath Bhat, Pradeepchandra, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor & Sudhakar Kudroli who is also the Executive Producer.

Soon after the show is over, audience expressed their happiness to have watched a very good standard Tulu Movie with a social message which they had missed to watch last time when released 3 years ago.  Some of them watched it for second time and said it is worth watching again and again.  Their expressions were very well captured in the video by Sonu Bantwal who also captured some of the great photographs.

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Chaiman Dr Sam Pitroda held video conference with senior IOC office bearers across Middle Eastern countries on 14th April 2020 to review the impact of COVID-19 pandemic among Indians residing in the region. Almost all speakers appreciated the efforts initiated and  implemented by  respective governments to contain spread of the deadly virus as well as measures taken towards welfare of the people affected by the lockdown. 

IOC Presidents, Mohammed Mansour - Bahrain, Abdullah Manjeri - Saudi Arabia, Dr J Ratan kunar - Oman and Girish kumar - Qatar, highlighted the quality treatment of patients and finacial aid provided by governments and other authorities. Bahrain IOC president Mansour , also  apprised about the 'Food for Needy' drive in Association with KHK Heroes foundation, initiated by HH Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and quality treatments as well as financial aid to local and expat residents.

Anura Mathai, IOC  Global Event Coordinator, spoke about certain problems of Indians in the UAE. IOC Middle East Convener, Mansoor Palloor, emphasised and requested IOC Chairman to urge Indian government to arrange immediate repatriation of indians stranded in Gulf countries. AICC Secretary, Himanshu Vyas, IOC Secretary Dr Arathi Krishna, Dr Arshi Malik (Abha), Mohiuddin Sirajudeen (Jeddah), Advocate Joseph Palathara (Dammam) Prasad Kodru, Jayati Maitra Ziyad Ahmed (Qatar) and Khursheed Alam (Gen Secretary- Bahrain) also apprised the participants about various issues relevant to the pandemic and suggested further initiatives to be undertaken. 

Dr Sam Pitroda briefed about sustained and consolidated efforts by all IOC members  during this unprecedented situation facing the world and assured that he would convey IOC  concerns to the government and try his best to ensure all possible help is made available to all needy Indians.

Kuwait: The Covid-19 pandemic has pushed the whole world into a difficult situation and the situation of Indians in Kuwait is not any different. Many people have lost their jobs, have no salary, are deprived of food and are not able to pay rent. The appalling conditions of labourers, domestic workers, taxi drivers and low waged earners don’t seem to end in Kuwait. 

At this trying situation when many people were even afraid of leaving their houses because of coronavirus, Suresh S. Rao Neramballi, volunteer of the Food Kit Distribution at the ICSG (Indian Community Support Group) has helped many tremendously. He was ready to go around delivering food kits at any time possible by his car. However, after Kuwait imposed a full curfew from 11th May 2020, no one could take out their vehicles unless they had a curfew pass. 

This did not stop Mr. Suresh Neramballi, who then borrowed a bicycle from a friend and ended up going around in the cycle delivering the food kits in curfew break time (4:30pm to 6:30pm) to all those who registered in the ICSG website. This selfless service surely commands appreciation and applause. Mr. Suresh Neramballi has been a light for many families and bachelors in Kuwait and will surely garner the blessings of them who have been able to eat at this time.

He was also the one who could deliver the food kits to many Indian Muslim maids, bachelors, laborers and families previous day and right on the day of EID, as they were not able to go shopping for their groceries for EID, due to the curfew. They blessed him in EID dua. 

Mr. Suresh Neramballi hails from Mangaluru, India and is an Engineer in the Oil sector company in Kuwait. He has been dedicated to social service, achieved 'Aryabhata International Award' for his Kannada Service and Social service, served in many Associations and Distributor of Kannada and Tulu Movies in Kuwait. He wholeheartedly thanks the people and government of Kuwait for his bread and butter.

God bless you brother and keep you healthy plus happy always.   You will be in the prayers of those who receivec your timely regardles they are hindu or muslim or christian.   This is a slap on the face of hate mongers who are always trying to divide the socieity in the name of religion.    Such people are burden to this world and society.   We should clean our society from such dirt and bad people.   Well done brother.  May God bless you.

Riyadh: On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, Karavali Welfare Association Riyadh (KWAR) conducted BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN on the 17th Jan 2020 at KING SAUD Universities King Khalid University Hospital, Riyadh. 

This is one of KWARs Prestigious Humanitarian EVENT every year, as we are indebted to serve the society for a Great Cause.

The campaign began at 08:30 am with a theme of Republic Day Celebrations and went on till 3:30 pm. Irrespective of Friday being a weekend and holiday people came in good numbers to donate Blood. The Hospital Staff, The Doctors and the Blood Bank Technicians and others at King Khalid University Hospital were more than happy to serve all those who have participated in this campaign.

KWAR Thanks all the Hospital Staff especially Mr. Salman Baqsh for his introduction of KWAR to Blood Bank and all the arrangements for this campaign, without his support this could not been done. Dr. Zafar Mahmoud for his wonderful support during the campaign and Mr. Abdullah Al Saman for his outstanding Hospitality throughout the campaign. KWAR also thanks all the donors who came all the way voluntarily for this Great Humanitarian Cause. As a token of gesture KWAR awarded Certificate of Appreciation to all the participants.

And KWAR would like to thank specially Mr. Nasir, Representative of Blood Helpline Karnataka, who encouraged many donors and made them to actively participate and donate blood for this noble cause.

KWAR’s core activities was on display on the screen, with most of the Committee members were present at the venue to serve the donors. KWAR thanks all the members, the Executive committee and all those who took their valuable time to organize this event successfully and thank all our well-wishers who supported us for the BLOOD DONATION CAMPAIGN. We in KWAR wish every Donor and the participants a healthy life ahead, and we need everyone's active participation in all our Future events.
