DKMO winter meet–2018 on Nov 22 in Riyadh

Riyadh: A prominent social organization of non-residential Kannadigas in Saudi Arabia, Dakshana Karnataka Muslim Okkuta (DKMO) is organizing a grand winter meet – 2018 on 22nd November Thursday starting from 9 PM at Al-Awali Resort Qassim Road Riyadh. This program is organized to bring all Karnataka biased NRIs into a single platform, event including religious, socio-cultural and games activities.

The DKMO, organization set up in Riyadh Saudi Arabia with an intention to support the family of deceased NRI’s in case of sudden death of their breadwinners. In the Past, DKMO had supported 10 such cases across Dakshina Karnataka. Mainly DKMO is established with an objective to support the NRI’s in Saudi Arabia. Currently, 1000+ NRI members are the main backbone of this organization.

Initially, DKMO was formed with an agenda to support deceased NRI family through FRF (Family Relief Fund) scheme, But now DKMO has expanded with other objectives like Financial Loan for needy Members, Air tickets for Stranded NRI’s, General Relief Fund, Micro Loan to support self-employment in India and support for Anti Dowry Campaign. DKMO appointed a coordinator to organize the medical and government scheme awareness programs to the community across DK district.

Dubai: Karnataka Sports & Cultural Club (KSCC) distributed Eid Kit across the UAE (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Al Ain, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah to the ) needy people on Eid al Fitr.

KSCC President Mr. Mohammed Ismail Said: “Eid is a Symbol of Gratitude and Unity. As the last few weeks have been hard for each one of us, we wanted to stand in solidarity to celebrate Eid, by helping labours and needy people. He also said that “We are together to be part of UAE. Serving these meals is our core social responsibility."

KSCC recently conducted humanitarian services during COVID-19 pandemic in 2 phases and conducted Blood Donation Drive. They have also planned to conduct next Blood Donation Drive on 25th May, 2020.

The KSCC main objective is to develop the expatriate community into a well-nourished section of society in the areas of social, sports and cultural activities.
