Dammam, Apr 28: Dakshina Karnataka Sunni Centre (DKSC), an organization formed by Muslim Youths in Saudi Arabia in 1995, will organize a huge ‘community get together’ at Qasr Lailathul Omar Auditorium, 91 Area, Dammam in Saudi Arabia on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 6.00 p.m. to 2 a.m.

State ministers, political, religious and business leaders will be taking part in the event.

A press release said that DKSC is a mammoth organization with zonal and unit committees across the Gulf. The yearning to be united under one platform and do some service to the community back home drew the likeminded expatriate youth from Karnataka coast to pledge for the cause.

“It all started with the initial mission to open an educational Institution that caters to the educational needs of poor, destitute and orphans in the community. Markaz Tha-Aleemulihsan, a charitable educational complex that stands tall now with achievements as a beacon of discipline and distinction at Moolur in Udupi district is the result of our dream. It’s a dream come true story. Paltry monthly contribution mostly coming from poor, expatriate workers was never enough to achieve the desired result, however our commitment and dedication to the cause that our children back home should get sound education humbled all obstacles and helped us build a huge educational complex that shelters more than thousand students and worth millions now,” the release said.

“Girl’s education in Muslim community has always been a discussion point due to religious and social barriers. We want to build a few educational Institutions across the twin districts of Karnataka coast to help them get education in a suitable Islamic environment that should herald a new trend in girl’s education in the Muslim community. The initiation has already begun. Foundation stone was laid for a ‘all girls’ college and with a hostel at our Muloor Markaz Complex with a definite action plan,” the release said.
