Dubai: Sankeerna’s 8th anniversary becomes colourful feast of dance

“Sankeerna School of Dance, Dubai” has re written the art of matured presentation of Bharatanatyam Dance form during its 8th Anniversary programme that was held on Saturday, the 8th of December, 2019 at Children’s city auditorium, Creek Park, Dubai.

The gala evening was marked by extra ordinary presentation, disciplined training imparting knowledge, outcome of rigorous practice of the art, all of which was on display during the show. The entire show was brilliantly conceptualized as Aham Brahmasmi as its theme that was central to each & every dance performance of the most enjoyable evening.  All dance performances on display were blended into the concept of creator that was so expertly performed by the artistes who performed so skillfully and effortlessly under the direction of their Director Vidushi Sapna Kiran. The last item presented during the evening that was Aham brahasmi, witnessed a rare feat of every member of the audience giving a standing ovation during the entire dance. Even the invocation the beginning was sung by all the performing students together that was innovatively conceptualized by Kamli Prasanna. All the dance items were based on soulful rendition of the related vocals by eminent classical singers.
The Chief Guest of the evening was Vidushi Suma Narayan who placed on record her appreciation to Sankeerna for having displayed such a memorable dance performance in Dubai. Other guests, Prakash Rao Payyar and Shodhan Prasad expressed their total appreciation for the effort undertaken by Sankeerna and wished a glorious future for the premiere dance institution of Dubai. The other guests of the evening were S. Jayarama Rao, Anil Rao and Chandrakala Rao.

The show was very thoughtfully and stylishly compered by Shruti Kartik.

Rendering vote of thanks, Vidushi Sapna Kiran expressed her gratitude to Arati Adiga & Vishweshwar Adiga who spared no pains for the success of the event. She also thanked Kamala Achar, Vijayalaxmi, Srinivas Murthy, Tejashree Karthik, Vikas Sharma, Karthik, Venkatesh Rao, Ashok, Nandakrishna, Rammoorthy and Mamta Pathak and others who have stood by her during the hosting of the event. The logistics for the program was provided by Kiran Kumar Kadri, Director, Sankeerna.

Adhithri Sankameshwaran, Aditi Kiran, Aditri Karthik, Ahanthi, Avani, Bhavyasree Jaganmohan, Diksha Raj, Geetha Sree, Harrshi, Jaswanti, Lavanya Sharma, Maya Lizbeth Manulal, Omkara Adiga, Pallavi Sreejish, Panya Sharma, Prapti Pathak, Priya Vijayakumar, Roshni Shriram, Rujula Patil, Tanvi Patil, Tanvi Prasanna, Yaashna Shetty and Yashvi Pathak had participated in the Sankeerna annual day program.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee, Saudi Arabia organized Republic Day program at AlRyan Policlinic Restaurant Auditorium, Dammam on 25th January 2020.

Abdul Waris, Former Chairman of Indian International School Dammam Inaugurated the program.

Wasim Rabbani, president of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee Presided over the program.

Mansoor Shah KFUPM, Indian Social Forum Delhi Zone President, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed from King Fahad University Hospital, Amir Moulavi, Executive Member,  India Fraternity Forum (IFF) Dammam, Nasir Koduvalli, Indian Social Forum, Kerala State President, Dammam, Sharief, Social Forum Karnataka State President, DammamJahangir Moulavi, Tamilnadu State president delivered speech at the program. Mohammed Firoz, Indian Social Forum  President, Jubail read the preamble of constitution. 

 Nameer Kerala , Secretary, Social Forum Central Committee welcomed guests while Ashraf Karnataka, General Secretary, Central Committee delivered vote of thanks and Tahir Hyderabad, Secretary, Indian Social Forum, Central Committee coordinated the program.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) organized Blood Donation Camp at Latifa Hospital, Oud Mehta Dubai on April 23rd, 2020 in association with Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and with support from Community Development Authority (CDA) Government of Dubai.

Blood Donation Drive started in the morning at 7:30 am to 6:00 pm. Around 48 people participated in this drive and donated blood to support the Dubai Blood Bank.

A potential shortage of blood for transfusions has been occurred due to a significant reduction in voluntary blood donations during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The current pandemic, health services are now running with shortages of blood availability. To support the DHA Blood Bank KSCC taken initiative to ensure that blood donations continued and are safe for both the donor and the recipient.

After taking safety precaution and safe distance during the blood donation donors feeling happy and honored to participate and donate blood at this pandemic situation. Club Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi was also present during this event.

KSCC appreciated all the blood donors and be grateful to Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Community Development Authority (CDA), and Government of Dubai for their association for this event. They also thanked the volunteers and supporters.
