Mumbai, October 6: Renowned Telugu film director S S Rajamouli, whose one of the superhit films 'Magadheera' is set to be remade in Hindi, says actor Hrithik Roshan would be the "best choice" to play the lead role in the Hindi version.

'Magadheera' is a 2009 Telugu historical drama directed by Rajamouli. The film starring Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles, was a huge hit down south.

The film is now set to be remade in Hindi by filmmaker-producer Anurag Kashyap, who has bought the film's rights. The story is supposed to be produced by Phantom (a company helmed by Kashyap, Vikas Bahl, Madhu Mantena and Vikramaditya Motwane).

It was earlier reported that Ranveer Singh might do the film.

When asked, who, according to him would be fit to play the lead role, Rajamouli said, "It is a massy film and I think anyone can suit as a hero. But I think Hrithik Roshan is the best choice."

There was a buzz that the makers were to rope in director Abhinay Deo of 'Delhi Belly' fame, but nothing has been finalised as yet.

Rajamouli also sounded reluctant to re-direct the Hindi remake. "I have almost spent two years making 'Magadheera' and now I can't spend another two years to make it again in Hindi."

However, the Telugu film director expressed a desire to direct a Bollywood film.

"I am eagerly looking forward to do it (a Bollywood film). But I have commitments down south. If anything interesting comes up, then why not.

"I will soon direct a Hindi film," he said without divulging any further details.

Meanwhile, Rajamouli is looking forward to the release of the Hindi version -- 'Makkhi' of his own Telugu blockbuster film 'Eega'. The fictional film was released in Telugu on July 6, while the Hindi part will release on October 12.

California, Jun 30: Online video-sharing platform YouTube on Monday banned several prominent channels, including those belonging to Stefan Molyneux and Richard Spencer.

The company banned six channels for repeatedly violating YouTube's policies.

According to The Verge, other channels banned include American Renaissance (with its associated channel AmRen Podcasts) and the channel for Spencer's National Policy Institute.

YouTube began taking stern measures on supremacist channels in June 2019.

"We have strict policies prohibiting hate speech on YouTube, and terminate any channel that repeatedly or egregiously violates those policies," the Verge quoted a YouTube spokesperson as saying.

"After updating our guidelines to better address supremacist content, we saw a 5x spike in video removals and have terminated over 25,000 channels for violating our hate speech policies," the spokesperson added.

Chennai, Mar 12: Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday clarified that he never aspired to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and said his plans for politics include different heads for his prospective party and a possible government headed by it.

In his first official press conference since December 31, 2017, when he announced to take the political plunge, the veteran star also said he planned to appoint as CM, an educated youth who was compassionate and had self-respect.

With a two-leadership system for party and the government, the former would act as an "opposition" to highlight issues and would not even hesitate to "remove", apparently the head of the government, if it fails to perform, he said.

His prospective party would focus on including a substantial amount of youngsters in the age group of below 45 years while the rest would comprise retired judges and IAS and IPS officials among others.

"I myself would reach out to them and invite them," to join him, the 69-year-old actor said.

Contrary to expectations, he however, did not make a concrete statement on floating his party but called for an "uprising" by youth, after which he would make his formal political entry.
