Salman Khan's Mental co-star Sana Khan on the run after being charged with kidnapping of 15-year-old girl

Mumbai, May 24: It has been alleged that Sana decided to teach the girl a lesson, who had rejected her cousin Naved's marriage proposal.

Troubles for Salman Khan's latest flick Mental seem to be far from over with the film's leading lady Sana Khan being on the run after being booked under kidnapping charges.

According to media reports, the actress is allegedly involved in the abduction of a 15-year-old girl.

It has been alleged that Sana decided to teach the girl a lesson, who had rejected her cousin Naved's marriage proposal.

The girl's mother had filed a complaint against Sana on April 30 at the Turbhe police station of Navi Mumbai.

The girl's family alleged that on April 30, Sana, along with her cousin Naved and his friends Kshitij, Vismit and another person went to Sanpada and tried to abduct the girl by forcing her to sit in their car.

But the girl managed to escape and her mother lodged a complaint at Turbhe police station. While Naved and his three friends were arrested, Sana gave police the slip.

Sana's cousin Naved fell in love with the minor girl through Facebook last year and proposed marriage, which she refused.

A police team even went to Sana's Oshiwara residence, but she wasn't there.

Sana's disappearance is affecting the shooting schedule of Salman Khan's film Mental.

Meanwhile, Sana's spokesman Ismail Sheikh has denied that Sana is on the run. However, he confirmed the fact that a complaint has been lodged against her.

Best known for her appearance in the Amul Macho ad, Sana was Salman Khan's favourite contestant during the reality show Bigg Boss's 6th edition.

Recently, south-based artistes had forced a lockdown on the sets of the film alleging pay anomalies. Salman lost around 12 days of shooting and incurred loses worth Rs25 crore due to the protests.

Mumbai, Jul 23: Mumbai Police will soon issue summons to actor Kangana Ranaut to record her statement in connection with the case related to the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, officials said on Thursday.

A day after Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, Kangana Ranaut had released a two-minute video speaking highly of the deceased actor and accusing certain sections of the film industry of not acknowledging the star's talent.

She had also said that some of the last social media posts by the actor made it evident that he was struggling to survive in the industry.

According to the police, statements of 39 people, including film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far.

The Mumbai Police had recently said the statements of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist have been recorded in connection with the suicide investigation.

Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.

Mumbai, Jul 28: Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari has urged Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to look into the case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death and direct the state police to register an FIR in this connection.

Wishing Thackeray on Monday on his birthday, Tiwari, who has acted in Bhojpuri films, pointed out that over 40 days have passed since the death of Rajput, but an FIR is yet to be registered.

"Many happy returns of the Day @CMOMaharashtra Shri Uddhav Ji, on this day I request with folded hands to give justice to Sushant who died 43 days ago, but no FIR has been registered so far. I hope you will help. Please do justice to millions of SSR fans," he tweeted.

Bollywood actor Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14, which the police said was a case of suicide. His death had triggered an outcry from several quarters alleging that the late actor, who hailed from Bihar, was a victim of nepotism in the film industry.

The lawmaker from Northeast Delhi's Lok Sabha seat, who visited the deceased actor's family in Patna last month had then said: "Sushant's father and sister requested me to take up the issue and get him justice. It was really a sentimental moment for me".

Previously, Tiwari had demanded a CBI investigation into the matter

According to the police, statements of 40 people including film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra and actor Rhea Chakraborty have been recorded in the investigation so far.

New Delhi, Jan 9: A Delhi court Thursday directed the makers of the Deepika Padukone starer feature film 'Chhapaak' to give credit to acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal’s lawyer in the movie.

Additional Civil Judge Pankaj Sharma said it was necessary that advocate Aparna Bhat's contribution is acknowledged.

"This Court is of the considered view that facts are indicative that the plea of the plaintiff for interim injunction is well-founded and it is necessary that her contribution be acknowledged by providing on the slide on the actual footage and the images, the line 'Aparna Bhat continues to fight the cases of sexual and physical violence against women' during the screening of the film.

"The said line on screen maybe with a rider that the same is with the court order," the judge said.

Advocate Bhat filed the application saying that despite representing Agarwal in courts for several years and helping in the movie-making, she was not given credit in the movie.

She said the filmmakers took her help in the entire process of writing and shooting the movie, but did not give the credit.
