Salman finally breaks his silence about Jiah-Sooraj's affair

SalmanMumbai, Jun 17: Salman Khan is upset that his name was unnecessarily been dragged in Jiah Khan and Sooraj Pancholi’s relationship. He said that he has nothing to do with their love affair and most importantly, he came to know about their relationship through a news magazine. He said that his full sympathy was with Jiah’s family but he disliked that Jiah’s motHero Rabiya Khan dragged his name in this whole controversy

"I was not even aware of Suraj and Jiah`s relationship. I got to know of it through a news magazine," Salman Khan said.

After Jiah Khan committed suicide, her mother Rabiya Khan told to police that Salman Khan has intervened between Jiah and Sooraj’s life and he persuaded Aditya Pancholi to distance his son from Jiah.

The ‘Dabangg’ star said that he never had any conversation with Aditya Pancholi asking to interfere in his son’s relationship. He finds the debate very ridiculous. He doesn’t know why his name was roped into the entire affair.

Salman said that he sympathizes with Jiah’s family and added that he has his own life and problems and has no time to think about other’s life.

Salman’s manager said, "We won't like to give any statement about this episode".

When asked why Jiah's family gave such statement about Salman, she responded, "You should ask her (Jiah's mother Rabiya Khan) this question."

Sooraj Pancholi who is in police custody in Jiah Khan’s suicide case was to debut with Salman Khan and Subhash Ghai’s movie, ‘Hero’ which is a remake of blockbuster ‘Hero’ staring Jackie Shroff and Meenashi Sheesadri. Sooraj has been cast opposite Suneil Shetty’s son Athiya Shetty.

With Sooraj being involved in Jiah’s suicide, time will say whether Salman Khan will reconsider his decision about casting Sooraj.

Mumbai, Jul 23: Mumbai Police will soon issue summons to actor Kangana Ranaut to record her statement in connection with the case related to the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, officials said on Thursday.

A day after Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, Kangana Ranaut had released a two-minute video speaking highly of the deceased actor and accusing certain sections of the film industry of not acknowledging the star's talent.

She had also said that some of the last social media posts by the actor made it evident that he was struggling to survive in the industry.

According to the police, statements of 39 people, including film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far.

The Mumbai Police had recently said the statements of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist have been recorded in connection with the suicide investigation.

Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.

Mumbai, Jul 12: Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her daughter Aaradhya have tested positive for coronavirus, confirmed Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Sunday. However,  veteran actor Jaya Bachchan has tested negative for the virus.

"Smt Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Daughter Aaradhya Abhishek Bachchan have also been detected positive for Covid-19. Smt. Jaya Bachchan ji is tested negative for Covid-19. We wish the Bachchan Family to get well soon with a speedy recovery," Tope tweeted.

As per Assistant Municipal Commissioner Vishwas Mote, the rest of the family members - Jaya Bachchan, daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and her children Agastya and Navya Naveli - have tested negative for COVID-19.

On Saturday, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and son Abhishek Bachchan took to social media to confirm that they have detected positive for coronavirus.

The 'Sholay' actor is reported to be in a "stable" condition with "mild symptoms."
The 77-year-old has been admitted to the isolation unit at Mumbai's Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital.

Mumbai, Jan 19: An FIR has been registered against actor Shabana Azmi's driver after the car they were travelling in met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune expressway on Saturday afternoon, police said.

Ms Azmi's driver has been identified as Amlesh Yogendra Kamat.

According to the police, a complaint has been registered by Rajesh Pandurang Shinde, the truck driver whose vehicle was hit from behind by Ms Azmi's car.

"Due to rash driving by the driver, the car hit the moving truck on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway which resulted in the accident," the FIR copy read.

Soon after the accident, Shabana Azmi was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital in Navi Mumbai and was later shifted to the multi-specialty Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai's Andheri.

According to doctors, she has suffered a head injury and slight damage to the backbone. Her condition is said to be stable, although, she remains under medical observation.

Her husband lyricist Javed Akhtar, who was travelling with her, escaped with a minor injury.
