New Delhi, Jun 19: Would you like to star in a Bollywood movie? Any international actor visiting India is asked this question and when put to Jackie Chan today, his answer was an emphatic "definitely, absolutely".

The 'Rush Hour' star, who enjoys a huge fan following in India, inaugurated the first ever China Film Festival which opened with Chan-directed 'The Chinese Zodiac'. The actor- director-producer also took to mic to perform his popular song 'Country' live for the Indian audience.

In a press conference earlier, Chan, who introduced Mallika Sherawat to the world through his 2005 film 'The Myth', charmed the media by declaring his love for all things Indian -- be it Aamir Khan's '3 Idiots', Bollywood or dishes like 'Kadahi chicken' and 'biryani'.

"10 years ago I stayed in India for a month shooting my film 'The Myth' here with Mallika (Sherawat). I saw lot of movies and watched MTV. I love the singing and dancing. I am a good singer. I hope that Indian directors call me with good roles. Actually, I am a very good actor and not only fight, fight, fight," he said amid laughter.

When asked who his favourite Indian actor was, a perplexed Chan said, "Forget it... I forget the name."

He recovered soon to add, "So many.. there are so many good Bollywood films not only '3 Idiots' which are not introduced to the world. There is not enough promotion. I know there are many action stars here and beautiful women. Choreographers are really really good, probably the best in the world."

The actor may be enchanted by Indian choreography but he does not find himself good when it comes to dancing to a Bollywood number.

"The only problem is my head. I can't move it. Hand is okay everyone in Hollywood, they can move their head."

Chan said he was looking forward to see the two countries cooperate in film production as together they would make the world's biggest market.

"Today China is the second biggest film market in the world and in the next few years it would be the biggest market in the world. Same thing is with Bollywood. You are 1.2 billion people you have 12000. You are going to be a big market soon and when you are a big market everybody is coming to you, trying to understand your culture... it is a chain."

Los Angeles, May 24: Filmmaker Frank Marshall, one of the producers behind Jurassic World: Dominion, says the forthcoming film is not a conclusion of the franchise.

Colin Trevorrow, who rebooted Steven Spielberg's blockbuster Jurassic Park franchise with 2015's Jurassic World, is back on the director's chair after sitting out on second movie Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).

Asked about the upcoming movie, Marshall told Collider: "It's the start of a new era."

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are coming back for the third film, which will also feature original stars of 1993's Jurassic Park -- Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.

The producer also revealed how he sees the film franchise extending into the future.

"The dinosaurs are now on the mainland amongst us, and they will be for quite some time, I hope," Marshall said.

The film was three weeks into production when it was shut down over coronavirus concerns, but the producer said the team has the sets built in London and will be "back in business" once they have guidelines from the British government.

Dominion is still slated to be released on its scheduled date of June 11, 2021.

New Delhi, Apr 23: As the holy month of Ramzan is about to begin, several Muslim public figures on Thursday appealed to the community to offer tarawih and hold iftar inside their homes and follow the lockdown regulations imposed to tackle the coronavirus threat.

Television actor Iqbal Khan in a video message appealed to the people to not step out of their houses during Ramzan.

"This time around, whatever you do during Ramzan, you have to do it inside your houses. Do not visit mosques; offer tarawih (late evening prayers offered during Ramzan) at your homes. Your stepping outside will not only put you in a problem but may put your family members in trouble also," said Khan.

"And that will be wrong, do not go outside. If anyone says you have to go outside then they are wrong. Stay home and stay safe and help others stay safe too," he added.

Another TV actor and Tik Tok star Jannat Zubair asked people to avoid any kind of social gatherings so as to ensure the safety of everyone.

"I know we are in a difficult situation but there is no need to panic. We will overcome this and things will be fine. The holy month of Ramzan is going to start, please stay home, offer prayers at your homes and avoid family/friends gatherings for now. It is just a matter of time, things will be fine soon. Stay home and stay safe," she said.
Ramzan is likely to begin from April 24.

Los Angeles, May 24: Hollywood star Salma Hayek says her daughter Valentina Pinault is a talented 12 year old who wants to be a director and star as a lead in a film one day.

The Oscar-nominated actor shares Valentina with husband, French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault.

Hayek said she has confidence in her daughter's abilities and believes she has a long way to go.

"She has so many talents. She draws, she wants to shoot movies - both as a director and as the lead - and she writes great pieces. Sometimes when I read her work, I have an urge to produce these stories.

"But she tells me that she will do it by herself when she's older. I don't know what's coming next for her but it seems that she has a lot of ways to go," the actor told HELLO! magazine.

Hayek, 53, added she is concerned about Valentina who has always lived a sheltered life.

"Valentina has always done what she wanted, I've never made her do anything and this means she hasn't yet learned how to oppose pressure, how to overcome obstacles.

"I know by experience that only the overcoming of some difficulties can lead you in the right direction," she said.
