KBC seventh season launched with changes

KBC_seventhMumbai, Aug 30: The popular game show "Kaun Banega Crorepati", hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, is back and this time it's bigger and better.

The jackpot prize in the "Kaun Banega Crorepati 2013" will be Rs.7 crore and participants will have to answer 15 questions to win the whopping prize money.

There will be four questions in the new feature "Sapta koti sandook" that will let contestants win from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 3 crore, Rs. 5 crore and finally Rs. 7 crore.

Entering the hot seat has become more challenging as 'Fastest finger first' round has been modified. It will now be called 'Best out of three'.

That's not all. Five, instead of four, lifelines will help contestants to reach closer to prize money. While "audience poll" and "phone a friend" will continue as lifelines, "flip the question" will return in place of "ask the expert". "50:50" will replace "double dip". The latest addition is "power paplu". It will help to revive any used lifeline.

The show, which has "seekhna bandh toh jeetna bandh" as central theme, will go on air on Sony Entertainment Television Sep 6.

Along with modifications in the game, the show's set has also been changed.

"It has been shifted from Filmcity in Goregaon here to Yash Raj Films studio in Andheri West. The infrastructure is better. In Filmcity, if it rains hard you have to stop shooting. If generator can't take load, then also you have to stop," Siddhartha Basu, chairman and managing director of Big Synergy Media Ltd.

The show, based on international quiz show "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire", started in 2000.

Los Angeles, May 2: Pop diva Madonna has revealed that she has tested positive for the COVID-19 anitbodies.

The singer shared the news in the 14th edition of her “Quarantine Diary” on Instagram TV.

“Took a test the other day and I found out that I have the antibodies. So tomorrow I’m just going to go for a long drive in the car, and I’m gonna roll down the window and I’m gonna breathe in the COVID-19 air. Yup. I hope the sun is shining,” Madonna said.

According to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), US, antibody tests are used to determine whether or not a person has been exposed to COVID-19 by finding proteins the body produces to fight the virus.

However, the CDC has yet to confirm if the possession of antibodies is equal to immunity.

Mumbai, Jul 23: Mumbai Police will soon issue summons to actor Kangana Ranaut to record her statement in connection with the case related to the suicide of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, officials said on Thursday.

A day after Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, Kangana Ranaut had released a two-minute video speaking highly of the deceased actor and accusing certain sections of the film industry of not acknowledging the star's talent.

She had also said that some of the last social media posts by the actor made it evident that he was struggling to survive in the industry.

According to the police, statements of 39 people, including film critic Rajeev Masand, director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and filmmaker Aditya Chopra have been recorded in the investigation so far.

The Mumbai Police had recently said the statements of three psychiatrists and one psychotherapist have been recorded in connection with the suicide investigation.

Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai residence on June 14.

Los Angeles, Feb 21: Nepalese-Australian actor Dichen Lachman has joined the cast of the third film in the Jurassic World franchise.

Lachman, best known for Netflix series Altered Carbon and TNT show Animal Kingdom, is the latest addition to the Colin Trevorrow-directed picture, reported Deadline.

Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment project will see Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard reprise their roles. Mamoudou Athie and DeWanda Wise are also part of the cast.

The movie marks the return of original Jurassic Park stars Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum.

Trevorrow has co-written the script of the new film with Emily Carmichael. He will also executive produce the film with Steven Spielberg.

Jurassic World 3 hits theatres on June 11, 2021.
