Bigg Boss 7 contestants who locked horns with Salman

September 21, 2013

Bigg_Boss_7What makes Salman Khan the perfect host of 'Bigg Boss'? Is it his easygoing nature, his comic antics, charisma or star status?

But having said that, there's another reason that makes the superstar so popular as a host and that is his tiffs with celebrity contestants.

Salman has never been kind to any contestant who has locked horns with him and has done his best to make his or her life miserable on the show. Be it threatening or abusing them, Salman believes in getting even. Here's a look at contestants who have fought with Salman on the reality show over the years:

Imam Siddiqui: Fashion and image manager Imam Siddiqui, who was one of the participants of reality show Bigg Boss 6, is one of the most controversial contestants who loved to pick fights with Salman Khan. He often offended the actor with his comments and rude behaviour. It is said that Salman was angry with him for openly flouting the rules and ignoring Salman when he asked him to pay heed to the rules. He had infuriated the host to such an extent that an angry Salman had threatened to beat him up after the shoot.

Sapna Bhavnani: Celebrity hairstylist Sapna Bhavnani had the guts to take on Salman Khan by calling him a 'serial woman-beater'. The tension between the two started when Salman questioned her claim that she was not on the show for prize money. This infuriated Sapna, who questioned his authority to insult her. She also dared Salman to throw her out of the show and even abused him to the extent that she called him a serial woman-beater.

Shakti Kapoor: Shakti Kapoor had agreed to become a contestant of Bigg Boss season 5 in the hope that it will resurrect his fading career. However to his dismay, he was ridiculed by hosts Salman and Sanjay Dutt. Both of them had expressed shock that Shakti was even invited to be a part of the show. Shakti Kapoor was hurt and had demanded that the hosts apologize to him. However, that never happened.

Pooja Bedi: Though the actress did not have any fight with Salman during the show, Pooja slammed the host for being partial after she was evicted. Pooja, who was a contestant of Bigg Boss 5, had taken to Twitter to slam Salman and accused him of favouring another contestant Mahek Chahal inside the

house. She also accused Salman of not treating Akashdeep Saigal properly by trying to demoralize and hurt him.

The list does not end here. There are many other contestants who have locked horns with Salman, the latest being VJ Andy from Bigg Boss 7. Will Salman's temper be tested once again inside the Bigg Boss house? Tell us what you think!

Washington, Jun 11: Music maestro AR Rahman has joined the international film 'No Land's Man' as co-producer and composer.

Helmed by renowned Bangladeshi filmmaker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, the upcoming movie has Indian thespian Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Australian theatre actor Megan Mitchell, and Bangladeshi musician and actor Tahsan Rahman Khan in pivotal roles.

"Time always gives birth to new worlds, new ideals. The newborn world has new challenges and new stories to tell. This is one such story," Variety quoted Rahman as saying.

The movie chronicles the life of a South Asian, whose journey gets complicated when he meets an Australian woman in the U.S.

The film, shot in the U.S., Australia and India, is predominantly in English with some dialogue in Hindi and Urdu.

'Sacred Games' actor, Siddique said: "The filming experience for this project was challenging but a fulfilling one. AR Rahman's brilliance will definitely make the film richer."

"Farooki and I first spoke about 'No Land's Man' at Film Bazaar in 2014. Between then and now, the film has become even more relevant as it looks at what it means to be a vulnerable person in a racially-divided world," producer Srihari Sathe said.

'No Land's Man' won the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and Asia Pacific Screen Awards' Script Development fund in 2014. It was part of the Asian Project Market at Busan and was chosen as the best project at India's Film Bazaar the same year.

Earlier in January, Siddiqui posted multiple pictures on Instagram with the team of the flick, marking the schedule wrap in New York and Sydney for 'No Land's Man.'

He also captioned the post as: "Wonderful experience with the most energetic team."
