New Delhi, Jan 19: Fog and cold wave conditions continued to prevail in most parts of North India on Monday.
Fog disrupted rail and air traffic with services of several trains being affected in the region.
According to the latest reports available on railways enquiry, about 169 trains are late due to the prevailing weather conditions.
Delhi airport reported major delays in international flights due to fog. Visibility at airport was nil at 6am. About 33 flights remain affected due to harsh weather conditions, of which 21 flights have been delayed.
On Sunday, thick fog accompanied by cold wind brought visibility below 200 metres in Delhi, affecting commuters and delaying 91 trains and 60 flights.
According to the Northern Railway, 169 trains were late while 28 trains were rescheduled and three cancelled due to the dense fog in and around the national capital on Sunday.
According to Skymet Weather, a few trains running behind schedule include — Magad Express late by 6 hours, Karnataka express - 6 hours, Sangam Express - 9 hours and Sealdah Rajdhani Express late by 17 hours.
The Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), in a statement, had said poor visibility caused delay in 21 services and cancellation of 12 flights.
