Fr Muller medical college claims trophy

Mangaluru Oct 22;: Fr. Muller Medical college Mangaluru duo team comprising of Miss Sandhya Rao and Miss Swathi secured 70 points and emerged as winners and claimed the prestigious. Mediquiz -2016 Trophy. KMC Mangaluru team comprising of Mr. Suraj Kumar and Miss Sanjana Rai secured 60 points and were declared as Runners up. It was a very closely contested competition. and a nail biting finish.

Dept of General Medicine AJ Institute of Medical sciences conducted their 5th annual Dist Level Inter Medical Collegiate Quiz contest on 22-10-2016 at their conference hall. 7 Medical College teams (Fmci, Kmc, Ajims, Kshema, Yenopoya, Srinivas Mangaluru And KMC Manipal from the undivided D.K. Dist were qualified for the final round.

Dean of the AJ Medical College prof (Dr). Ashok Hegde speaking as a chief guest, lauded the achievements of the participants, he presented the trophy prizes, Merit certificates to the Winners and Runners up and congratulated them. Head of the Dept of General Medicine Prof (Dr) E.V.S Maben was the guest of honour. Prof (Dr) Devdas Rai Dept of General Medicine was the quiz master.

Dr. Ashwathi pavithran welcomed and proposed a vote of thanks.
Dr. Vinitha Bhandary, Dr. Karthik Aiyanna Dr. Prathik Shirur assisted as judges. Mumbai based cipla pharmaceutical company Sponsored this event.

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.

The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.

More details in this regard are awaited.

Mandya, Apr 3: Following the lock down in the country, people habit ventured into Liquor bottles worth several lakhs of rupees have been stolen at two places in the district.

Miscreants targeted a wine store at Chikka Mandya on the outskirts of the town in the early hours and also made away with the stock from a wine store near Hadly Circle in Malavalli town late night on Thursday. The incidents came to light on Friday.

A window was broken open at Chikka Mandya store and a wall was drilled at Malavalli store to take away the cartons, the police said.

Mangaluru, July 14: Melkar  Women's PU college has achieved excellent pass percentage in II PUC examinations, the results of which were announced today.

As many as 140 students of the college had appeared for second PU board exam 2020 this year. The college secured 95% results in the current academic year.

Among them 24 students passed with distinction and 94 with with first class marks.

Fathima Nisha (558 in Arts),

Zaithunnisa (561 in commerce) and Zainaba ifrath (545 in science) are the toppers of respective sections in the college.
