Govt employee falls to death from building

Kasaragod, Jul 28: A State government employee died and his close friend sustained critical injuries after the duo fell from second storey of a private lodge here late on Wednesday.

T.K. Giridhar, 40, a native of Paatyam in Kannur and working with the Education Department office here, sustained head injuries as he fell from over a height of 7 metres. He died while being shifted to a Mangaluru hospital around 9 p.m.

Pratheesh, 35, Giridhar’s close friend, hailing from Thiruvananthapuram, and working with the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) office here, sustained backbone fracture in the fall and was shifted to a Mangaluru hospital, P. Ajith Kumar, Principal Sub-Inspector, Kasaragod Town Police station said.

The police have registered a case under Cr.PC section 174 (unnatural death). They found liquor bottles from the lodge where the duo were staying.

Mangaluru, May. 21: The Bearys Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI Mangaluru) is held the Eid Kits distribution program on Wednesday, 27th day of Ramadan (20.05.2020) at BCCI office in Kankanady, Mangaluru. 

It distributed around 250 kits including some cash amount to the needy

BCCI president Mr S. M. Rasheed Haji, vice president Mr. Abdul Rauf Puthige, Administrative Secretary Mr. Nissar F. Mohammed, and Executive Members  Mr. Mumtaz Ali B.M., 
Mr. Mohammad Haris,
Mr. Mohammad Sharief, Mr.  Asif Soofikhan were present.

Belagavi, Jan 16: Six Poachers were arrested in two different cases at Gollahalli forest range in Kittur section in the district on Thursday.

The arrested were identified as Bharmesh alias Bharmappa Hanumant Bhajantri, Mallesh Hanumant Bhajantri residents of Budanakatti in Bailahongal Taluk.

Another alleged accused Yuvraj Basappa Bhajantri managed to escape.
