Setting up a new Sawmill in the middle of a desert way back in 1993 was out of the norm, since most sawmills are normally and strategically located close to huge forests or plantations – Mr. B.M. Ashraf (Managing Director), who founded and established MWW in Ajman did the opposite and created a new paradigm in the bargain which turned out to be a resounding success.

Backed by the ruling family of Ajman and combining Mr. Ashraf’s visionary stewardship MWW has since been able to position itself as a leader in effectively cater to the regions ever increasing demand for timber and allied products, thereby becoming the most recognized supplier of dimensioned timber and natural forest products in the Gulf today. MWW also ranks as the largest Sawmill in the Middle East and is one of the biggest importers of round logs from many remote corners of the globe, which are processed at their sawmills in Ajman and Sharjah.

Over the years MWW has gradually gained recognition as a major player in Global timber trade, procuring and trading in timber and logs through its vast well established network of suppliers and end users across several countries. Closer to home MWW has been a boon in creating new job opportunities in the Gulf for people from Mangalore and Dakshina Kannada who are keen on pursuing the age old traditions of their families who have worked in the sawmilling trade.
