Bengaluru, May 12: Moderate to heavy rains lashed parts of Karnataka on Saturday causing difficulties to people who are casting their votes to elect a new government in the State.
Heavy rains and powerful winds haunted the voters in Hubballi-Dharwad region.
Many voters faced difficulties in approaching some remote booths in Belagavi due to damaged and water-logged roads as there were heavy rains in the area. A part of the road had been dug up for laying cables under the Smart Cities project.
However, in Bengaluru people woke up to a cool morning after overnight rain. Several voters from across the city reached their polling booths early in the morning to cast their votes in the 2018 Assembly elections.
