Mumbai, Nov 5: In his six-year-long career, Sidharth Malhotra has featured in a romantic comedy, a thriller, a sports drama and a murder mystery and the actor says his choice of films clearly shows his greed for good content.

The actor says he always wanted to explore new things in his career and is happy with the way his journey in films has turned out be.

In an interview with PTI, Sidharth says, "This is the period where I am hungry for content more than the money aspect of what I would get from a film.

"If your filmography is interesting and has enough variations and you are not trying to sell something typical, whether it does well or not is secondary, what matters is exploring new things."
The 32-year-old actor insists earning good money was never his aim.

"I have never done films for money, brands of course (is for money). I have never buckled with a producer or director for a film. I did films because I wanted to be part of a film.

"I have never made an issue of what I get paid as an actor. For me it depends on the budget of the film, you want to be more sensitive as well to the producer, it is a business after all," he says.

Sidharth's latest release "Ittefaq" may have got mixed reviews, but the actor says he was aware that the film was not the one to make it to the '100 crore club'.

"Ittefaq" which is a remake of 1969 movie of the same name, is the story of an acclaimed writer (essayed by Sidharth) and a young homemaker (played by Sonakshi Sinha), who become the prime suspects in a double murder case.

And police officer Dev (played by Akshaye Khanna) must figure out who's telling the truth when both offer conflicting stories about the events of that fateful night.

The film did a business of Rs 4.05 crore on day one.

"It is not a film where you look at the numbers (box office collection), I know it is unavoidable. The film was made on a tight budget, we have other revenues of recovery like satellite rights or digital rights. So the box office profit will be done by the weekend.

"It is not a film to boast money wise, as the numbers are not going to be (high). The film is all about these three characters and their performances," says Sidharth.

The actor says, he was first offered the film sometime in 2014 and feels glad that the movie came back to him.

"I was offered this film after 'Hasee Toh Phasee'. If you look at zone wise it was similar (referring to thriller, murder mystery space). I was committed to 'Ek Villain' and I felt it made no sense to do two back-to-back films in the same space. I was like will do it afterwards.

"Luckily, nothing happened in between and then they (director Abhay Chopra and producer Juno Chopra) came to me. I think the film was meant for me as they did not cast anyone for two and a half to three years."

One of the main reason for Sidharth to do "Ittefaq" was his love for his character 'Vikram Sethi'.

"It is not typical, he is an unpredictable person who gives you a high in the climax. This character has so much to hide and show at the same time. I found it interesting to play this part," he says.

Mar 11: The shooting of Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai has been completed, and the film will now release on schedule.

If one recalls, the film went on the floors in the first week of November 2019 and was supposed to be Salman’s fastest completed film. However, the movie faced a variety of roadblocks — It was first to be wrapped in the first week of February, “But Salman went off to his Panvel farmhouse after the release of Dabangg 3 and spent a while there ushering in his birthday,” a source reveals.

“Then, the extension of the show Bigg Boss 13 by five weeks also turned out to be another speed breaker. Then, Salman wanted to make sure that the film was being made as good as what his audiences wanted on Eid. He made sure that his director Prabhudeva got what he wanted from the performers and didn’t want to rush him.

"Additionally, the Azerbaijan schedule of the film also got cancelled as Salman did not want to take any chances with the cast and crew with the lurking Covid 19, and rescheduled the shoot in India. This is now complete, barring any patchwork that might emerge later,” our source adds.

Radhe is slated to be an Eid release, which will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi Bomb.

Washington, Jul 16: Actor Chris Evans, better known as 'Captain America', made a six-year-old boy's day by sending him a personalised video message lauding his heroic act of saving his younger sister from a dog attack.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the aunt of the young boy (Bridger Walker from Cheyenne) posted on Instagram the story of how the boy saved his sister on July 9 and was horribly injured in the process.

She shared the story on the photo-sharing platform on Sunday and also posted few photos featuring the brother-sister duo as well as pictures of the injuries on Walker's face.

"After receiving 90 stitches (give or take) from a skilled plastic surgeon, he's finally resting at home," wrote the aunt (Nikki Walker).
"We love our brave boy and want all the other superheroes to know about this latest hero who joined their ranks," she added.

Moved by the young boy's story, Evans made a direct video message appreciating the boy for what he did, and how he is no less than a superhero.

He also promised to send the young kid an authentic 'Captain America' shield as a reward for his selfless, heroic act.

Evans' video message to the young boy was shared by the aunt on her Instagram profile.
In the video, Evans is saying, "Pal, you're a hero, what you did was so brave, so selfless -- your sister is so lucky to have you as a big brother.

Your parents must be so proud of you," Evans said in a video message that the family shared Wednesday. "Keep being the man you are, we need people like you. Hang in there, I know recovery might be tough, but based on what I've seen, I don't think there's much that can slow you down."

Towards the end, the 39-year-old actor told the boy he was sending the 'Captain America' shield to him, as the world needs more bravehearts like the little boy.
