IFF holds health seminars in Khobar and Jubail

Jubail/Khobar, Apr 18: India Fraternity Forum organized health seminars at Rafa Medical Center Auditorium in Khobar and at Cookxon Auditorium in Jubail as part of its two week long health campaign- 'Healthy Life Happy Life'.

Dr. Charles, general practitioner, Rafa Medical Center, Al Khobar and Dr. Deepak Bedia, MD Medicine, Gulf Asian Medical Center, focused on different aspects like Hypertension, Diabetes, Cholesterol and Heart attack through a beautiful presentation and seminar.

Both of them provided information and instructions to keep the health free from deceases and to achieve happier life. Dr. Buwaneshwari, Rafa Medical Center, was also present at venue. There was a Question & Answer session in which both doctors have cleared the doubts and queries from the audience. The audience has taken full advantage of these sessions and there was tremendous response from the people about the programme.

Mr. Mushtaq Bangalore, MD, Fateh Al Jubail presented a memento to Dr. Deepak Bedia in Jubail while Mr. Meeraj presented a memento to Dr. Charles and Mr. Basheer presented the memento to Dr. Buwaneshwari in Khobar.

The programme began with the recitation of Qira'th by Brother Basheer in Al Khobar, Master Armaan Hussain in Jubail. More than 200 people participated in the program in both the places.

Mr. Abdussamad of Khobar, Mr. Abdurraheem of Jubail welcomed the gathering and gave brief introduction to the program. Mr. Haneef Adyar of Khobar, Mr. Haneef BC Road of Jubail presented the vote of thanks.

The event was anchored by Mr. Abdussamad in Khobar and Mr. Imran in Jubail. IFF volunteers facilitated for smooth conducting of the events with impressive assistance.

Doha: Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF) once again set an example that no caste, creed, language and religion comes as hurdle for their humanitarian services and helped to perform last rites of Ramesh who committed suicide in Doha-Qatar.

45-year-old Ramesh son of K. Nagan hailing from Panikulam, Thrissur district in Kerala, who was working as a tailor committed suicide in his house at Ruwias in Qatar on 30th May 2020.

On hearing this news, some of his friends in Kearla informed Mr. Shihab who is also from Thrissur and a member of QISF and the same was brought to the notice of QISF humanitarian team head Mr. Abdul Latheef Madikeri and Basheer Ahmed of Tamil Nadu.

Immediately, the QISF team intervened and contacted the family members of the deceased in India and discussed the matter and consequences of sending the body back home to India in this pandemic COVID 19 situation.

Considering the prevailing situation, the family members gave the consent to bury the body in Qatar itself.

QISF team collected the required documents from the family of the deceased and managed to clear all the necessary formalities from the police department, Health Department, Embassy of India and Hamad Medical Corporation.

Finally, the body of the deceased was buried in Qatar on 7th June 2020 and the copies of all the relevant documents have been handed over to the family members.

The family members of the deceased thanked and applauded the leaders and all the members of QISF for their effective and on time humanitarian service rendered even in this pandemic crisis and having no bias.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.
