Mumbai, Apr 29: Actor Inder Kumar’s wife Pallavi Saraf has come out in defence of her husband and is blaming the struggling actress for framing him. She also blames the police for being negligent. She says, “My husband met this girl on April 2 at his gym. She told him that she was offered a film with Ali Zafar and since she allegedly couldn’t afford a gym membership, she requested him to help her in her workouts. Inder told her that he would do it if I permitted him to do so. Next thing I know, she came home and I found things to be quite fishy. I asked Inder to avoid her which he did.’’

When asked if Inder promised her a role in a Salman Khan film, Pallavi denied it. “It’s not as if Salman is going around distributing roles to people.” Pallavi adds that it was the girl who was chasing Inder even though he kept avoiding her. “She sent him a picture of her slit wrist and then Inder scolded her,” she says. Pallavi also points out that she went to her mother’s house along with their kid because she was irritated with all that was happening. “Three days later that I found out that Inder was was staying with that girl in her house.”

Pallavi claims that after Inder returned home, she warned the girl to stay away from her husband. She says that on April 23, the girl came to their house with an alcohol bottle in hand. “Instead, she is saying that she was held captive for two days. The police need to check all the records and statements.”

The actor’s wife points out that on April 24, an inebriated Inder slit his wrist. “When this girl told me that Inder has attempted suicide, I called the police who took them to the Versova police station. If Inder had been raping her all this while, why didn’t she complain earlier?” Pallavi says Inder is no longer a drug addict and has been clean ‘since the last two years’.

“When that girl left the building at midnight, there were no struggle marks on her body. What prompted her to lodge a police complaint in the morning is beyond me,” says Pallavi.

Mumbai, Jul 19: Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against two Instagram account holders for allegedly threatening actor Rhea Chakraborty, an official said on Sunday.

The location of the two accused is yet to be traced, the official said, adding that the investigation in the case is at primary stage.

Chakraborty on Thursday requested the cyber crime cell to look into the rape and murder threats she has been receiving ever since the death of close friend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rajput, 34, was found dead in his apartment in suburban Bandra here on June 14, leaving people in the film industry and audiences shocked.

Chakraborty, in particular, was subjected to online hate with users blaming her for Rajput's suicide.

"We registered the First Information Report (FIR) on Saturday under Indian Penal Code Sections 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication), 509 (intending to insult modesty of any woman) and relevant provisions of the Information Technology Act," Santacruz police station's senior inspector Shriram Koregaonkar said.

"No arrest has been made so far. We are conducting an investigation in the case," he added.

On Thursday, sharing a screenshot of a hate message she received on Instagram, Chakraborty said while she had ignored many abusive texts sent to her in the past month, the harassment was now unbearable.

The 28-year-old actor eventually disabled the comments section of her Instagram page.

Chakraborty, known for films such as "Mere Dad Ki Maruti" and "Jalebi", had tagged the cyber cell and requested the authorities to look into the threats.

On June 18, she was called to the Bandra police station to record her statement in connection with Rajput's death.

Mumbai,  Aug 7: Unless Maharashtra Government consents to CBI investigation in the Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, it would be illegal, affecting the federal structure of the country, said actor Rhea Chakraborty's lawyer.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered and continued the illegality which was perpetrated at the hands of Bihar Police in connection with the case, he added.

"The Bihar Government transferred a case with which it had no jurisdiction to investigate, to CBI instead of the Mumbai Police which is the legal position. The Supreme Court is seized of the issue pursuant to the transfer petition filed by Rhea Chakraborty," said Satish Maneshinde Chakraborty's lawyer.

The Supreme Court has directed all parties to file their replies and Mumbai Police is directed to place the report of investigations, he added.

"Pending the said proceedings the CBI has registered and continued the illegality which was perpetrated at the hands of Bihar Police.

CBI being a premier investigative agency in the country should desist from taking any further steps pending the SC proceedings. Apart from the same unless the Maharashtra Government consents to CBI investigating the case ... it would be totally illegal and beyond any known legal principles, affecting the Federal Structure of the Nation," said Maneshinde.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the CBI that is probing high profile cases of Vijay Mallya and AgustaWestland cases will now investigate the Sushant Singh Rajput's death case.

The investigating agency has registered a case against six accused including Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty and others in connection with the Rajput's death.

The sources in CBI said that six accused in the case will be summoned soon for questioning and other persons will also be called for examining which was earlier examined by Mumbai police.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had earlier sent a recommendation to the Central Government for CBI investigation in the case filed in Patna based on the complaint of Sushant's father KK Singh against Rhea Chakraborty under sections including abetment of suicide on July 25.

Sushant was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14.

Days after Rajput's death, Rhea Chakraborty said she was the "girlfriend" of the 'Dil Bechara' actor while requesting a CBI inquiry in the case.

Chakraborty has also approached the Supreme Court for transfer of investigation to Mumbai in the FIR registered against her in Patna.
