“This is a clear breach of diplomatic protocol and KIFF appeals the Indian government to take immediate and necessary action against Mr Jain,” stated a release issued by KIFF.
KIFF president Saifudheen Nalakath, in a release, demanded that the ambassador should immediately withdraw his statement and apologize to the expatriate Indian community.
Mr Jain’s speech is also a violation of poll code in the context of ongoing parliament election in India and the election commission should register case against him said the release.
“The rhetoric from a diplomat on Modi, whose role in the Gujarat massacre is so evident, is a good example and proof for the practice of saffronization among the bureaucrats and diplomats. Such unexpected move from a senior diplomat shall create incredulity in the multicultural Indian community, especially in the minorities. The diplomats and other government servants should refrain from such acts as it will escalate furor in the society,” it said.
